Be nice to just pull up stumps now tbh. Can’t really gain anything else now other than injuries. Hate watching preseason games for that reason!
Preseason matches actually should not be played at Docklands. The surface shifts because of all the sand and lack of sunlight, which results in a real risk of joint injuries (like Madden's). And then it's also rock hard because of the car park underneath, so you run the risk of muscle injuries (like Coleman's).

So the writing was really on the wall when the fixture came out.

We still lack consistent balance between our inside and outside contest players. We get it right for periods then other times we are still bees around the honey pot. New midfield coach, same old problems. Hopefully it's something that takes game time to get right.

Actually think Fort has played better the longer the game has gone. But so has English, so maybe six of one, half a dozen of the other.

We're looking tired, second to the ball particularly in the back half, which is concerning. Sure we've had injuries but we started with 25 when normally we'd have 22. Should be the fittest team in the comp and these are our conditions: 30 degrees high humidity. Should be running over the top of them.

Now a fresh Payne gets turned inside out by a bloke who's well into his fourth quarter. He might be an OK player but he's about as bright as a busted light bulb.

Have given up the corridor a concerning amount of times tonight.

I'll be concerned if this happens in the season proper. I can't see our mids putting in such little effort when points are on the line.
