With all due respect to Priddis, why on earth would they need to do this now and why couldn't it wait until the end of the year, especially given his form and where the team is at? I had to go to the Eagles website to ensure Ochre wasn't taking the piss. They really don't seem to see where the team is at.

Had to get in quick with all the opposition clubs all over him.

Could still only see out 2017 with a mentoring role at EP in 2018 maybe , this contract probably good will for his service plus Mitchell probably wont continue on and West Coast keeping Matt Priddis .

What a f**king joke this club has become.

So, I guess we'll be saying goodbye to Mitchell as a player at the end of this year then? Potentially with some young mids as well who will now know there's no way they'll be able to play any solid blocks of footy at AFL level this year or next because they sure as hell won't be dropping or "resting" him after this.

Not upset.

Re-signing Matt Priddis sums up the delusion (fool's paradise) that is the West Coast football department. All respect to Priddis for his application and the fact that he has gotten the most out of his body and limited talent but to re-sign a player when he is clearly past his best and now a liability on the field should result in someone like Vozzo being sacked but he will probably end up getting promoted.
