If we're in a situation next year where we're so short on midfielders that we'd be better off with Priddis in, we're probably not making finals anyway. So I agree with Fivey, this seems premature.
Let's renew Butler's contract too while we are at it.

I feel like it's them trying to give 'good' news to the supporters after a poor last month and trying to create optimism that we are contenders for this year and next. Saying you've resigned your Brownlow medallist would be pretty good news to some fans and shows the team thinks they can win.
But yeah, definitely should have waited until at least the end of the year to make a decision lol

I just don't understand how of all the comments, that's the one they respond to.
1) Glad you're happy with the club trolling this board, rather than playing competitive (let alone victorious) games of football.
2) Paying a bloke to play at East Perth (who is finished/cooked) still means that a younger kid is cut to make way for him. It's an absolute waste of a list spot, and is poor list management.
Wtf resigned him after he has fallen off a cliff, he is cooked now and will most likely be worse at the end of the year the game has passed him and we sign him now? Mid season? Its not like he is going anywhere. There goes any little bit of hope i had that maybe Simpson had finally woken up to the shit show that is our midfield and was starting to play Priddis less in the middle slowly phasing him out.
