The AFL in recognition of those great Victorian sides Collingwood and Essendon have nominated Round 16 as ""Priority Pick Weekend''

Unfortunately one of these sides will lose any opportunity to gather a priority pick(unless a draw doesnt count towards 5 wins )

Lets all get behind these 2 proud clubs as they slide further into mediocrity.

What about a showcase game called "Stopping in the last quarter round"

I nominate Essendon vs Adelaide

Any club that deliberately loses to get a priority pick has to be kidding themselves.
One promising 17 year-old, no matter how much talent he has, is not going to single-handedly turn around a struggling club with a losing attitude.
I'd far rather Essendon win our last 7 games this year. Even though we won't make the finals, at least the club will finish the season on a confident note and know we're not that far away from being a power club again.
