Loyalty is a wonderful thing, and the downside is when a parasite gets in the door they can feast undisturbed for a long time.

The Bombers also reap the rewards of loyalty but this has got to be infuriating for them.

Not quite Carlton levels of fail, but unacceptable for a proud titan of the League.

You know …how come the media has been drinking his bath water for years? Year after year they have been seen to “win the draft and trade period” and have continued to fail. Yes the club is rubbish for letting him stay on for so long but wtf with the media love?

Because if any one of them dared criticise him, or even ask questions, they may not keep their gold class access, and get to pretend they're mates with the players and coach and ex-players and so on. That's way more important to the footy media than actually doing their job.

At the end of the day I'm just bloody wrapt that this bloke is finally gone for good. The bloke has set us back 20 years with his inabilty to build a list.

I wont be surprised one bit if our trading/drafting improves dramaictly over the next few years with him gone.
He'd be tone deaf enough to turn up at the end of season function and crack wise with staff

Big Footy was calling him out as a fraud for years

That's what I am worried about.

lol. thx for the laugh. here's a team that seriously struggles to pay the minimum cap. Soft cap at Essendon I don't think is a serious issue.
1. Didn't answer the question.
2. Even if Essendon are struggling to pay the full salary cap, they should be using all of their soft cap.
It'd be utter incompetent madness if they weren't.
