It can't work.

The parents don't want to run all over town to take their kids to play and you can't have U/8s Morningside taking on U/8's Labrador

There also isn't enough hours in the day, given there is now U/8's,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,17,19 then Reserves, then Seniors

How many games you reckon they can play in one day?!?!

Junior footy works using geography as the guideline, and senior footy works using ability.

I've been waiting for this match all year. Let jack have his fun. Will probably be a better match skill wise than the seniors anyway...
Should be a decent sort of a contest
I heard that some tigers players are old enough to be fathers of the young pirates and probably weigh twice as much too......

Doesn't work, because there are a shitload of junior clubs that don't have senior clubs.

They also try to keep junior footy in a geographical zone, which means the senior clubs are often not in the same comp.

My grandson plays for Wests Pups. They play against Sherwood, Kenmore, Yeronga and Jindalee.

only 3 of those clubs have a senior team, and only 2 of them are in the same competition.
Jesus qafl fan, what a negative nancy you are. With that sort of thinking, nothing will change. You'd probably still have joh bjelke Peterson as premier, man wouldn't have landed on the moon and we'd still be wearing lace up jumpers. We need forward thinkers with a " can do " attitude running this league as outandabout said, not people who shit can every new idea. You said it " doesn't work ". How do you know? Why not align every junior club with a senior club for starters and work from there. If there's anything sure about this world, it's that anything is possible.

Get off the ice pipe jack. Kedron and the suns will play off in the twos granny before the pirates do. Two teams that will probably contest the senior granny and still have enough depth to be competitive come ressies finals time. Can't comment on the tigers as we don't know if they will stack the twos in coming weeks seeing as their seniors are probably not going to make the five.

Gee might pop down and check it out . But lets call it what it is . Last years premiers playing against last years bottom of the ladder. Pirates lads could learn a few things from the experience of tigers . Anyway I've said it before and oll say it again. Were not here to talk about the reserves lets get back to talking about how good the suns are and how they could go through undefeated .

The problem is the QAFL is only interested in money so the more junior clubs they have the more they make regardless of the clubs struggles for numbers. If they cut down the numbers of clubs they would increase the finances of clubs thus bringing back a football atmosphere .

Redcliffe and Pirates ressies have played out a hard fought draw in a match that resembled a boxing match rather than AFL. Never seen so many red cards in my life.

jack still on
