please by all means let me know of the Victorian 13322189_1180426768656694_5636873025575939199_n.jpg club that plays footy in waist deep water... can't be soft when a game can't physically be played.
 
Geez thread has gone nuts since I last posted. I'll be nice and say agree with wet weather policy no one wants to see shit games in filthy weather. If we have a bye to make it up let's use it.

My point exactly, still hope they get the points though. Would breath a fair bit more life into the comp though and do your blokes a fair favour

I didn't say it was Templar or Henwood exactly Buzz. Think you will find it is definitely 3 players from Alex Hills if you check it out, so not quite wrong yet .

Also might have a bit more to add to that for this week if my mail is right.

Could be a real smokey towards the pointy end the Buffs if mail is right.

Be interesting to see team sheets for Saturday.
 
3 players won't be enough to get them near Kedron, especially if they're coming from Alex Hills.

But good to see the Buffs climbing

Probably won't make the required difference no matter who it is. Either way, you sound like time you need another punch in that ample arse of yours buzz!!!

Calling a game off because of the wet is a minor issue, I think we should be going the Vic country way and playing all games from under 8s or what ever to seniors on the same day at home to get the crowds , the mums and dads back at the game. There's nothing better than getting a full day of footy with the canteen and bar clicking over all day with a big family atmosphere . I know it's different because if grading and all but it's just not the same.

I miss those days. The best atmosphere and really creates a one club mentality.

Yes indeed it used to be that way in Brisbane many years ago. It works and it's better than opening the canteen for an hour and a half on some Saturday mornings.
It seems we have just made it harder on clubs with the way it's set up now.
I doubt it will ever happen when as we don't get a season draw for youth football. We only find in the monday of the week we play.
Big changes with smart people is what the code needs.
 
Doesn't work, because there are a shitload of junior clubs that don't have senior clubs.

They also try to keep junior footy in a geographical zone, which means the senior clubs are often not in the same comp.

My grandson plays for Wests Pups. They play against Sherwood, Kenmore, Yeronga and Jindalee.

only 3 of those clubs have a senior team, and only 2 of them are in the same competition.

If QLD footy was given a proper overhaul I reckon it could work. Wouldnt be an easy transition but if done properly would be amazing.
