Gee wizz there has been some hiding’s in both grades today! It looks like this division could of spilt in half going off 5 rounds of lopsided scores. A lot of ressies look like they’re on struggle street as well.

Don't base your assessment off 4 games. Long way to go...

For some reason numbers were incredibly low this weekend. Surprising after coming off 2 long weekends in a row. We were real low on numbers but fortunately were able to cover. Every player on our list has now played which is great. Even our girls teams were low on numbers. I’ve noticed other clubs were the same. Interesting for round 5

Well 50 points winners was a little off . Not bad for an ageing team on a warm day
Obviously Redcliffe too good on the day. Well done to them. All tips have the ability to be right or wrong. Seems like you wanted to make a point of ensuring I was wrong. You were very quiet through the first few rounds...

Looked like a pretty lopsided weekend for some sides, including our group. Just not around the mark all day. Kenmore are going along quite nicely though - pushed MB a few weeks ago and not uncompetitive against other sides fighting for that top 4 spot.

Redcliffe would have been stoked with that result - to finally open their account on the season. Looked tight til 3qt but Redcliffe kicked away by the looks. Any reports?

Sandgate, MB, Hinterland, Kenmore etc all disposed of their opposition with ease. Pine Rivers really opened up Gympie. Long season for that group - never nice to see sides go through that kind of season. Hopefully they can keep sticking at it.

Match of the round looked like a ripper (Yeronga v Wynnum). I noted that Harwood kicked 2 and was in the best. Did he play through the middle? Any reports?

Just thought it was a ludicrous production that's all

Looks like MB, Wynnum and Hinterland the 3 favourites so far. Then the group of Alex Hills, Pine, Kenmore, Sandgate, Yeronga (albeit a few losses on the trot now), potentially Park Ridge in that next tier that could go either way. Maybe throw Redcliffe in there too

I think that is a pretty accurate assessment BlackGun. No knock on Sandgate and their winning streak. Be a good measuring stick when they come up against that stronger tier.

He split his time between fwd and mid against Redcliffe. Can take a hanger inside 50!
After a quick look up, looks like he has played footy around the traps - notably in Tassie. You would think that form would be pretty handy at this level. Did hear he is lightening quick too. If true, that would be a nightmare match up.

Would like to know if Jacob Knight kicked his 11 from the midfield on the weekend. If so, could be the best recruit of the season not named Josh Wagner
He snagged 8 against us playing 60/40 up front/mid.
I tried smalls, tall’s and just about everything else I could to contain him 🤣

Very smart kid who just has a really great football brain, kind of reminds me of Nathan Brown type player.

Played last season at my old club Devonport in Tasmania and I’m not surprised how easily he’s handled this level.

Hinterland have landed a gem there that’s for sure.

I was at the Wynumm V Yeronga game and it was a good contested game of football. Wynumm had a couple of goal lead for the early part of the match but then Yeronga faught back hard in the second quarter and had a small lead at half time. Wynumm slowly started to run over them in the 3rd and 4th quarter but were never really more than 1-3 goals ahead and, to Yeronga's credit they kept themselves around the mark. Wynumm kicked away with it in the last part of the final quarter so I personally thought the score was probably not really reflective of how close the game was! Wynumm look like a well drilled team with solid players across all lines and have some big bodies. They also had a very rowdy crowd sinking beers up on the balcony and some of the banter between them and the Yeronga players during the game was halarious! Harwood played first half as a forward and was ok but his Yeronga opponent kept him at bay with some good body work and footy smarts. Harwood went into the guts in the second half and was influential.

yeah 100% was a good game, harwood played well through the midfield, with blake steward hard to miss. Yeronga brought the grunt for the first 3 quaters but couldn't keep up in the last where wynnum got away. harwood was pretty quiet in the forward line with a talented defender playing on him. I believe brody lumber was very influential through the forward line. Any other players stand out?

Not sure of all the names exactly but the Yeronga Backline were solid all day against some pretty skillful footy players. Nuxy (Coach) played and kicked a nice goal and was handy around the ground, doing some ruck work and directing a lot the players around him with positional movements etc. Yeronga Midfield also pretty classy with some handy players in Tyler Keays (brother of Ben Keays from crows) and Hiovake Livesey who I believe previously played at the club before a stint at Morningside QAFL team. Some old Sherwood boys also running around for both teams who are solid players.

I think Wynumm will be hard to beat this year... should be great match between them in the top teams in Moreton Bay/ Sandgate and Hinterland.

Curious to know what you've seen in Alex to rate them so highly.

I'd call six goals a decent margin. Especially in the wet.

Ha true. Looked and then did a few other things and forgot the rain. They didn’t seem to push Kedron by as much as others and look very young

in all fairness as much flack as Kedron as copped in here, their team from round 1 to now is short of 7-8 of their higher quality players. Supposedly way more but you can see the difference just looking at the team sheets
