From the aflq player points documentWhy will the two kids (Proud and Wilson) be 3’s? They have never played senior footy
I disagree that QAFL Colts (ressies yes, no probs) should be ranked 3 points. I’d reckon outside the top 6 most Colts, who’d probably play some ressies at least anyway, wouldn’t play QAFL ressies or seniors. From the aflq player points document
d) Category 3: Senior Community Player – 3 Points
i) Player who has played the same or more senior games than reserves games in total over the current and or previous three (3) Seasons, in a Category 3 competition.
ii) Player who has played more reserves/colts games than senior games in a Category 4 competition.
QAFL is a Category 4 comp
I agree with you there. A lot of the colts coming through will likely never play a senior QAFL game, so it makes sense that they move to a local QFA club for opportunity.I disagree that QAFL Colts (ressies yes, no probs) should be ranked 3 points. It then makes it tough to move to local QFA clubs. Most are just having a go to see how it is. Making them 3 points is just another impediment to help send them out of the game imo.
The ressies games would not have mattered, as QAFL ressies and colts are valued the same.We had a returning junior come back from qafl colts. Missed the 40 games by 3. He played 4 ressies games at qafl level so they made him a 3 pointer. So there points would depend if they’d played qafl seniors/ressies or not.

Gee whiz - thats a long bow! Possibly Div 2 - definitely not Div 1 from what I've seenHigher standard of footy than seniors in the lower divisions is the line
Very good point. So both of those kids (or at least one) was still 17.5 eligible last year, never played any academy stuff and chooses to test themselves at a different environment and they are classified one point less than a QAFL senior player…,both are barely 18 years old (I think) and this seems a tad excessive points wise.
With that logic Sandgate shouldn’t have gone up to Div 1.Did you watch the Colts Grand Final?
It was a pretty elite standard, reckon both those sides beat any Div 2 team North or South.
Wouldn't get anywhere near the top end of Div 1 though
Possibly the hawks need to top up their current list to compete well in Div 1.With that logic Sandgate shouldn’t have gone up to Div 1.
Big statement there.Did you watch the Colts Grand Final?

Doesn’t sound like itYou ever been to a Div 2 game Miller?
Why don’t you invite Miller to your next game Freddy……….and buy the first beer for a change? You ever been to a Div 2 game Miller?

I get what you're saying but a couple of colts in a senior men's side doesn't compare to a full team taking on men.yes, plenty.
Did you watch the Colts Grand Final? While obviously not reflective of the week to week standard, it was absolutely red hot.
Probably 10 kids out there who have already played a bit of QAFL Senior footy, and about 20 that would play regularly if they were at clubs at the other end of the ladder.
