I’m more intrigued about player points and how they’re going to fit the talent in! Might be some very handy 3 point players running around in the twos! Not a bad position to be in if the inspiration to go to Div 1 is still there.

With the current list and Coach I reckon they would go alright in Div 1 now!
All the 'pillars' would be in place too.

Unless you're the player who was convinced to move clubs to play seniors.
Then there's the regular lads who have been bumped from seniors to ressies.
A fine balancing act could go either way.

Let’s have a look then. A quick look at playhq from 2024 and some limited knowledge of how player points work gives me this:

J. Allison - 6 (2024)
T. Allison - 4 (2024)
Jackson - 4 (2024)
Bowles - 4
Farry - 4
Staas - 4 (2024)
McDougall - 3
Andrews - 3
Wilson - 3
Stuart - 3 (2024)
Lowney - 3 (2024)
Hartin - 3
Proud - 3

Some of the 2024 players might reduce one or two points, but that’s 47 points right there - if my maths is correct?

Hard to play footy with 13 blokes!

Fairy sure you can take 7 points from two players not returning on that list.

A couple of clubs seem to be recruiting well. I see kedron, yeronga, park ridge and pine have released a few on their Facebook pages as well as Gympie who have named a few new recruits which is great to see for the battlers up north!

Should be an interesting year!

Good for the comp. Hopefully not so many blowout score lines.

Dont you lose a point each year - eg Alison is a 5 in 2025?

In the 3rd year.

There are criteria to get points extensions for clubs. Usually it's things like not having youth pathway, getting belted previous years. Some clubs in the past have had 48 points for the season. Not sure if AFLQ would grant it to prepare for going up to Div 1 the following year?

Two prelim lossses in both grades two years in a row equals 15 more points I heard.

It would be all above board.

Clubs also just recruit beyond their points tally and then it just works out in the end, or good players end up the in the 2s!

PRetty sure there have been multiple QAFL senior sides unable to pick their best 22 in the last few years from time to time.

Would be a great position to be in
If you are leaving out multiple points rated footballers out of the seniors
