Does anybody know if Southport is confirmed? I did see they posted late last year for interest to play Div3/4. But surely they go div 4 first up.

Saturday yes. Pomona reserves only at this stage.

Club Facebook announcement has Jimboomba staying Friday nights in 2024.

And got themselves a new head coach as well. Interesting. That’s not a great coaching record for Shaun Stewart. Did he leave as he couldn’t get the numbers or didn’t want to coach Friday night ? Or maybe both. Either way I’m sure they will be competitive back in div 3.

Usually there's a writeup on new teams getting licences etc.

I imagine that would all happen at the same time. Don't they usually sort out the Div 1/2 draws before worrying about the Friday night legends?

Only a praccy match but you’d think alarm bells for Collingwood Park. Lost to greater Springfield who finished 5th in div 4 in the local ‘lightening cup’ by about a goal at Brighton Homes. Nothing special from either teams as most likely their first hitout but Collingwood park looked very slow and old. Might be a tough year in div 3 for them. Comp is even tighter now with morningside out.

All depends on whether they played their best side or not.

Hearing a whisper Aspley could pull the pin.
Might be time to have a stand alone comp up north.
With pine and Zillmere out and now and possibly Aspley. That leaves grange and mayne only brissie teams.

Friday nite footy changes every year and can almost guarantee they have to wait until the last minute to confirm teams.
So no draft draws or anything yet. What we do know is the start date. But that could change as well.
