Yeronga why is it when somebody spills a cup of water on your oval it's closed... then fail to plan around the issue.
Direction comes from AFLQ,, have to manage the condition of the oval. It's pristine and it needs to have less traffic as possible when wet.
Didn't fail to plan we moved it to 830 and then collingwood park had a cry. Coorparoo didn't mind the time change las week as they actually waned a kick of the footy....
I privately told you the reason as to why we can't do 8:30. Why 'have a cry' on big footy like a toddler who's thrown the toys out of the cott.
Well, because u guys wont agree to 830 we are forced to move the game to a neutral ground, so that means u will travel further which will pretty much balance out to the same time that people would have got home anyway.
If you make the grand final and the aflq schedule it for a time other than 730 I bet you wont mind, so why is it such a big issue mid year?

Nobody else in the comp has changed times mate. Like I said I gave you the reasons privately now you just look like a bum. We signed up for Friday night footy and have come to neutral ground and are still playing a game nobody is complaining here but you mate.
Sorry mate, the point that blokes wont get home til 1130-12 is irrelevant in my eyes. I Didn't get home until 11 from amberley the other week, travel is part and parcel of footy.
It's just clear collingwood park are unwilling to negotiate with other clubs when a small issue like this comes up really

It looks as though Kedron gets the go ahead for the neutral venue. So clearly Collingwood Park aren't bothered by the travel. What other reason could they possibly have to no want to play at 8:30?
Change of times rarely happen, I'll agree there. But no other club have AFLQ headquarters situated at their home venue breathing down their neck. Coupled with the fact everyone wants to play at Yeronga as it's one of the best venues around, meaning the club have to share the facilities.
Yeronga have to deal with this every week and get on with the job with no complaints. God forbid another side is affected.

Is Kedron at 7.30 going to be better than Yeronga at 8.30 though? For your boys Maj?

You have summoned the oracle to speak on this matter! I doubt he will comment unless his sparring partner blocker from the pirates gets involved
Before watto got all upset it wasn't ever a matter of travel. We have a few coppers on our team who work night and a lot of the younger fellas do barwork. Also being a small club all our coaching staff and volunteers double up and run our junior teams who are at Kalbar tomorrow morning at 7/7:30 I believe. The later game didn't work for us we needed the normal time didn't care on the venue. AFLQ selected Kedron as its 10mins away on google maps apparently.
Apologies for any inconvenience we have caused but it was a matter of compromise which was agreed...
Yeronga to kedron is 25 mins at that time of day, so they gain 35 valuable minutes that they can share with loved ones by getting home at a decent hour
For the majority of our team yes. I live at Mt Ommaney so it's not much difference for me. The blokes who live at raceview/yamanto it was an issue. Either way decision has been made. And I'll see you tomorrow big fella! Bring your night vision goggles!

You'd think if AFLQ wanted to use logic they'd find a venue as close as possible to Yeronga, let's say Kenmore? I can hardly see how Kendron is deemed 10 mins away, keeping in mind it's situated on the north side, and the fact city peak hour traffic will be a factor that time of night. Common sense ain't so common these days.

Can't comment on the logic but I agree. 8:30 didn't work for us and this is what's been decided. And that's the way the cookie crumbles I suppose. Might See you tomorrow night mate.

Wonder what the lights are like on the goat track at kedron nowadays. Wont be drinking any of their beer that's for sure , grubs
