Easily the worst photo I could have picked for this but what is the black and white checkered armband for? From memory the saints wear them as well.

What year did teams start wearing sponsors on the back of their jumpers?

Was watching the 1994 Grand Final and the Eagles had Hungry Jacks on the back, so wondering if it "Came into fashion" that year or whether it was '93.

Anyone know why Collingwood wore black shorts against Gold Coast? My guess is that it's because it contrasts better but I'm not that sure.

No one wears white shorts with their home jumper away to Suns or Swans. Always been like that.

Hey does anyone know why we never see Carlton wear long sleeve clash guernseys? I don't think I have ever seen one since the introduction of the white guernsey in 07. See plenty of home ones but never any white ones. Do they not make long sleeve clash guernseys?
Might be due to the optics.

"Rest of Australia" and "Allies" aren't states :p
I'd go for a reality where all states (and the NT - yes not a state I know!) field a team in a SoO carnival and are competitive enough to make it work.
