Great first quarter. Last 3 quarters were meh. North kicked themselves out of the game.

The team are teasing us now, being 2 games behind the 8. Need to step it up vs GWS if we are any chance.

We rode the luck train all the way to the station tonight. Great endeavour at times and did really well to stay in the game when we were under siege but I feel North lost that game, not us that won it.

No real passengers which was nice, Clurey, Stewart and DBJ got pantsed a few times defensively but given the experience difference of their attack and our defence it wasn't a bad effort.

Trengove immense, Hammer with some brilliant attacks on the ball and cool head, Boaky and Gray winning it in the guts, Wingod mode engaged in the first half. Some very nice stuff.

the only reason that wasn't a 10 goal hiding was our inexperienced backline.

Paul Stewart got fed to the wolves again.

But so happy right now, we can play good football when we have to.

The mids won this one. Make no mistake - Trengove, both Grays (Robbie especially), Boak (best for the year), Wines, Hartlett all did their job. They responded when we were challenged. If only they had done the same against Freo and Carlton.

Correct

Missed first half so sounds like missed the good stuff.

Done enough to keep it safe and steady in the 2nd. Disappointed how our accuracy dropped off in the last, but luckily we just kept pushing forward.

Gameplan looked greatly improved, still too many empty 50s but less than most games this year.

Going into this game I thought it would be a tough ask.

Our usual bogey team, away from home.

Having a makeshift ruck come up against one of the best in the comp.

Our inexperienced backline vs a potent, tall and experienced north forward line.

Their long list of inside, clearance winning midfielders.

But we overcame all of that. Hats off to our defense and Bassett for his work because we have fashioned an effective unit from a group most would've placed in the SANFL at the start of the year. Clurey, Austin, Stewart and DBJ all played well.

And Trengove is our best team man by far. Has stepped into the ruck void, given it his all, and has become a damaging player. Imagine how him being our pinch hitter.

Good to see our captain lead from the front, Gray continue his form, and Wines did well in close. All our inclusions played well too.

Does our season have a pulse? Hmmm, not sure just yet, but we've start CPR at the right time. Now to back it up next week.

Robbie Gray's absolute best is a pleasure

Sadly ah chee didn't do enough to keep his spot and s gray was his fumbly self

Schulz and Wingard shut up the doubters
