So let me see if I have this right on Dougal under Hinkley.

Dougal Howard starts at as a promising KPF
We then shift our established CHB who is a shite forward to be a CHF as we have decided to now make Howard a KPD.
Howard then becomes a promising KPD
We then shift a guy we got in as a KPF to a KPD (watts) who then takes Howard's spot over preseason.
Howard loses all footballing ability

And people wonder why we are all worried about how we are going to ruin Marshall...

Funny how there’s these tall players with 8-10 kicks and multiple goals. Sometimes they just need to be played and backed in!!!

Hipwood and McStay haven't done much at all this year as forwards and last year were very inaccurate in front of goals. But Fagan has continued to back them in and eventually they have come good.

Ok its the next day so i am less angry and more despondent

This loss was a carbon copy of 2017-18 Port
Start shithouse.. then dominate but take forever to peg them back.. finally get our noses in front then fall in a shitheap and lose
Gee where have i see that before.. like almost every close game we've been involved in for years

**** off

You missed the point. We've lost many games when we have been and teams are often confident when playing us. At the GABBA Brisbane have embarrassed us in the past few years and we've been the favourite each time.
I missed the point? You said we were favs...
We weren't favs against Brisbane.

Yes you did but I didn't explain it well enough for you. We've been favourites a number of times against them at their home in the passed handful of years and lost just about every time. So they've built an expectation that they can beat us and now that they were feeling further confident about their start it's not a surprise that they troubled us to beat us there again. You said teams/players have a habit of saving their best for us and I think we have a habit of giving them reason to be confident.

If betting odds summarised our win/loss the past few years I reckon we'd be top four. It is the reason why I hate the club eagerly wanting to label themselves as the underdog at any opportunity. It's fear of not living up to being the favourite because we've failed carrying that expectation.

"eagerly wanting to label themselves as the underdog at any opportunity"... We don't do this you brain fart....

Yes we do. The club has eased up on it probably dueto the Facebook backlash received but Boak, Wines, Hinkley and club in the past few years have stated "this we're the underdogs and we love it that way". At this year's captains photo shoot Jonas summed up our forthcoming season stating that we're the underdogs.

The betting this week doesn't matter to me. I look at where we've been and the Lions have been, I look at the experience we have, we're both 2 wins and I felt that we shouldn't be accepting being the underdog.

Give me plenty of examples...

Marshall should not have played last week. The kid put his hand up to play for sure but he got smashed in the head the week before that and he didn't know whether his was Arthur or Martha.

Once upon a time, in the "good old days", people with head knocks that were left motionless or just about, DID NOT PLAY the following week. Now, we are so "modern" that we play concussed players even though they may have passed the concussion testing but the testing is by no means full proof. The kid comes out and seems out of it and he gets dropped for his troubles. We would have been far better off not playing him last week and playing him tonight instead which could well have made an enormous difference.

As for S. Gray, how about the other Gray? At least the battler Gray put his head in and gave everything within his limited ability and ran his guts out. The other one always seems to left out when people talk about who was shit.
R Gray was very ordinary, haven't looked at his stats, don't care what they were. He needs to lift, we need him firing if we r a shot at the finals this year.

They were great. Gave our forwards a lesson in how to be positive and lead aggressively. We like to get our goals over the back. Shit strategy.

I wouldn't feel too bad about the loss guys, it was a close game. Brissy pumped the Eagles in round 1 and we are a pretty good team. They are looking good the Lions.

The disappointing part is we should have won, dominated the second quarter and kicked 2 goals 7 and couldn’t defend the game late and hold onto out Margin.

The game was ours to win and we gave it up, bad kicking is bad football.

Nothing against them, Definitely going to be a good side this year Brisbane.
