Can someone explain why the need at all in a 10 team competition? .....i understand why when there were 9 teams .....that's just dumb & SANFL club supporters would hate it
Someone said so that they can keep the comp going for the same period as the afl but only have 18 games each which you play each team twice to make it fair.

I think that he's definitely next defender up. But I don't see anyone being dropped for him at the moment. Doedee looked pretty good though, couple more like hat and his call up wouldn't surprise. Was a real pleasure being able to watch the 2's on Sunday. Many thanks to the Internet and IPad mirroring through Apple TV.
Hope not ......i'd like pretty much a full season in the SANFL to do his apprenticeship

Next year IMO with a 2nd PS there'll be a much better version

Why try and mirror the AFL season ? .......what's the advantage of doing so?

no idea, to keep the interest up? or for the afl clubs and their players?
Do AFL clubs like SANFL byes that don't match AFL byes though? .......or do AFL clubs prefer SANFL clubs to still be playing at a time of the AFL finals, so their players are getting gametime if called up

I didn't say he wasn't a great cricketer. I was talking about his personality.

I'm not in Clarke's camp either... but that one kid identified the basic flaw which none of the coaches could, his turn around was amazing from that moment on... my supplementary point wasn't directed at you. I was just inferring that just maybe some of the people on this board have great insight and should not be dismissed as just supporters with simply no idea...

He's shown enough to say he will be a good asset for us . I'm bullish

Season 3 will be his go to make a name for himself

Some exposure next year will help

The advantage we have is looking from the outside in - doesn't guarantee we know what we are talking about , mostly not but

Is probably the reason why new coaches seem to go well when they get to a club

based on tonights closed session..

VB, Kelly, Lyon and Milera all trained with the main group will be interesting to see if they make more than the one change.
Imo, the last 2 will be ins this week.

  1. Geelong have 7 midfielders averaging over 20 possessions.
Apart from Hawthorn, who were coming off a shortened preseason courtesy of winning another flag, they have had a soft draw.
Racking up big scores against poor teams has those over on the Cats board gloating.
Let's see what Friday brings.
I'd like to think Adelaide will be a slightly different opposition than GCFC or The Lions....

No disputing the opposition they have played but that does not mean they are not very good. Selwood, Danger, Motlop, Duncan, Caddy etc are quality.
