Racist Cameron Ling backs Geelong, calls Thomas bump a Dog Act. Also Joel Selwood's a Piece of Shit.

Is Cameron Ling right about any bump on a Geelong player being a dog act, or is he full of crap?

  • Yes, any bump on a Cats player is a dog act. Also I'll never recover from 2008 as long as I live.

  • Yes, I abhor violence of any kind and have no business following this sport in the first place.

  • No, the AFL should encourage bumps against Geelong players, Selwood especially.

  • No, it was a great hit & Ling's just salty no one's called him up about an assistant coaching job.

  • Jack Watts thinks its interesting how many acts of on AND off field violence involve Port Est 1997

  • POOR LINDSAY WAS LYNCHED BY THE KU KLUX TRIBUNAL!!! #JusticeForThomas

‘Twas very weak from Selwood.
I’m all for going in to bat for your team mate or bro, but don’t throw your head back after you pound someone’s face in when they’re on the ground essentially helpless.

Plus I hate to say it but Scott Selwood is sooooo fishing for the head high when the ball takes a bad bounce. He drops right down and leans in.
You mean bending over to pick up the ball?

You have to be allowed to protect the space the ball is coming into.
We do it with every other facet of the game...ala marking.
Selwood drops to his knees,Thomas attempts to go low,but the Selwoods are very clever at initiating head high contact, they’ve made an art form out of it.
In this photo it’s clear evidence that one player is attempting to initiate head high contact and the other attempting to try to do the correct thing we were all taught as kids.
Protect the space and gather the ball, ala Trent Cotchin in the Prelim last year.
Tough smart footy,play on!

That's actually a good point, another example of a Selwood deliberately putting himself in danger to milk a free kick. Clarko was right!

Still, Thomas is f***ed because he overruns the ball to hit him.

Not only did he overrun the ball, he didn’t have eyes for the ball until AFTER the hit.

Did you see those suspensions from him the vfl last year? He’s the kind of guy you’d want to put in hospital if he took out your kid on a park.

Nah. Watch it again mate. Look at how he completely lowers himself and leans with his head past player number 26 for Port. Number 26 doesn't make contact and Selwood ends up on his knees. Then the ball rolls away and Lindsay spotted an opportunity to flex his 70kg frame. If Selwood doesn't keep going to ground at the hint of contact then he doesn't put himself in this position.

Thomas contact was clearly a dog act but if you keep playing for them like Selwood then eventually you get what you get.

How dare he put his head over the ball.....

LT's act was no worse than Crotchin last year in the prelim, Crotchin just did a better job of pretending he was going for the ball.

lol, LT wasn't even looking at the ball. He was just going for Selwood. He did exactly the same thing later on.

Three gifs that sum LT up nicely:

Selwood won the Peter Badcoe VC Medal, so it's hard to see a player recognised on the day for his 'fair play' being suspended. Only dogs like Thomas, Burton and Mitchell will be sweating on the MRO this week I think.

Yes cos when a player is concussed from a deliberate snipe and will miss multiple games its the incidents with feather touch impact that doesnt impact players at all that matter. am i right?

Small fine maybe, and another fine for the dog Thomas for punching Joel to the throat.

Good call you dopey inbreds.

As for legend Lindsay, he just did what everybody with a clue wants to do to any of the Duckwood duckers , or any Geelol player really. It was poetic justice, just like these 3 inbreds failing again above

Cotchin wasn't pretending, he won the ball.

Travelled past the ball to lay the bump, hits him in the head. Some of the numpties on here make me cringe.

Hasn’t travelled past the ball, protecting the space, just because a bloke has made a living out of dropping the knees as the picture and history has shown us,it’s clear evidence of footy smarts, smarts we all learned as kids, well at least down here in Victoria!;)

He has gone past the ball.

If you wanna protect the ball then do so by going for the ball first. There's no need to snipe someone.

where am I?

On another planet I think you are, maybe Uranus.

Thomas gets my vote for Australian of the Year for rustling Geelong’s jimmies so badly.

The only one's with rustled jimmies will be the clueless DHs that say it's a legit bump. You'll most likely be saying it for the next month while the dog has a very long break.

You do realise you’re allowed to run past the ball and bump someone right?

At the risk of an indecent bump yes.

Bumps are generally best reserved for protecting a team mate with the ball. LT knew Selwood was going down to get the ball.
