Spot on. Firstly no excuse for that behaviour at all. No problem with her being banned. Eddie is a star and that was a great goal but he did act like a figjam in front of opposition supporters and that will always get them charged up. If he had kicked that goal and acted respectfully he would've got a different reaction all together.

Theres no problem with the Granny on the channel 7 coverage giving him a spray and a send off. There is a problem with throwing things onto the field and calling him a monkey (if that is what happened).

The aspect that is really disturbing is how quickly some Australians will try and make themselves the victims when they read about racist incidents.

Eddie Betts is playing in a milestone game, an important game for his team too, and should be lauded not just for his performance but how he carried himself during interviews all week. His comments thanking people from his Carlton days was all class.

But what are we discussing today? His race and whether or not he "incited" racism towards him.
