I've seen all sorts hurled at players at derbies - the most famous being a pie thrown at Josh Carr. Seen food thrown at Jeff Farmer but never a banana. Usually just chips and the like

tjrowing stuff at players should never be ok - but when there is racist (or potentially racist) tones behind it, the incidents should be looked at much more severely

Second, why do our racists have to import this banana/monkey thing from Europe? Makes no sense, we all descend from a monkey and I'm proud of it.

'Gorilla forwards', 'cheeky monkey', expressions sadly rendered unsafe these days. Calling someone a 'banana' (idiot) got unsafe in the 90s as an insult used by mainland Asians against Aussie Asians, but that use seems to have faded a bit.

How many people were watching this game over the Collingwood v GC game across Australia? Port Power fans in general embarrassed themselves on the national stage last night. There were many other instances where you could visibly see young children, older folk etc F'ing and C'ing Adelaide players, real classy. They wonder why everyone hates them and they're irrelevant.
