For a start a general practitioner with experience in sports injuries isn't going to help her. She needs an oncologist and then follow the plan they set out for her. It's really expensive with tests and loss of income. Anyone wanting to support her should give money to a Go Fund Me page or similar. It would be much more help.

I just found one for her and donated to it, not much but it's something. She was young and stupid and did damage to our club but she's in for something no one would want another person to suffer through. If any one can afford to put in $10 or $20 even, I hope they can chip in.

Even in 10 years ago you could have a sneaky car beer if someone else was driving.

10 years ago you could drink whilst driving as long as you were under 0.05. Not sure what you mean 10 years ago drinking when not driving. Still do it now especially if going on a golf trip.

A 1965 VW 1200 went from 0-100 in 26 seconds.
Its nice that there is only light traffic on the roads, and I realise some of the trucks are loaded up and are a bit slower, but why is the V8 Commodore blocking the road next to the truck accelerating slower than a 1965 VW?

What about your dentists?

You need a fully socialist system of health, such as our National Health Service. Everyone contributes what they can via earnings then you are covered for everything, no matter the cost. I'm very lucky, in that I've never needed to stay in hospital or have expensive treatment, but I'm happy to fund the system for those who do, knowing it's there if I ever need it. I don't ever need to consider private health insurance. Our NHS is the greatest thing about the UK.

How does the nhs handle the grey area between need and want? Breasts enhancement for "mental heath", lap band surgery because you can't be bothered exercising, veneers on your teeth so you have a nice smile, .......

This is all double Dutch to me: premiums, surcharges etc. Give me our NHS every time: not for profit and for the health of all. I actually find the idea of private companies making profit from ill health disgusting. Our private sector is minimal, with private health companies only there to cater for any NHS waiting lists, though of course, if the system is properly funded, waiting lists are eradicated. It has never crossed my mind to go outside the NHS.
