Backline:I like the Backline, But im not a fan of Malceski and his knee. You might want to watch him closely during the NAB or look for some other players round his price range like ladson or hunt?

Mids: You need a stronger midfield, 1 or 2 more stars. Mid's imo are the key to any team. They score big on most occasions. I would upgrade Kelly and dangerfield (who you should watch carefully as well in the nab). Possibly switch Danger to the Fwdline for Harvery/Rioli/Miller. Also you might want to downgrade Mattner to free up some more cash.

Rucks: No complaints here

Fwds: Prob the best part of the team, but watch Murphy cause he is quiet injury prone.

6/10 mostly because of the midfield.

My Team

Backs: Newman, Fisher, Hodge, Mcdonald, Kennelly, Ladson, Sheppard
Emg: Carlsie, Webberley

Mids: Ablett, NDS, Pendles, Cooney, Scully, Trengrove
Emg: Bastanic, Hutchings

Rucks: Sandilands, Hille

Re: Rate my SuperCoach team

Your Backline is really not good.
Nice Midfield
I dont like didak too inconsistent same with walker and tappscot is not a great player.
you need to work hard on your team

Can you elaborate further on my backline? What's so bad about it?

Enright, Shaw and Hodge are locks for me. Carrazzo is a scoring machine but was affected by injuries last season. Drum and Buckley could both be very good cows and is an alternative to the Kennelly, Ladson pairing that every man and their dog is choosing. Sheppard is a chance to play straight up.

Agree re Didak. He is inconsistant. Had him in due to his dual position capabilities but have noticed i have Pav for this also. Have taken him out for J.Brown and changed from Tippett to Porps.

Forward line is now:

Riewoldt, Brown, Pav, Porplyzia, Rioli, Walker, Tapscott.

Of course Walker is not a great player. He only debuted this season and averaged close to 50 with an average of only 7.9 disposals per game. Huge upside and i expect massive improvement from him this season.

What do you know about Tapscott. The reports i have heard is that he is ready to go.

Re: Rate my SuperCoach team

This is my second attempt. Didn't save my other one so this is probably quite different:

Backs

Enright, Hodge, H.Shaw, Carrazzo, Drum, Buckley, Shepard (Davis, Trengove)

Centres

Ablett (c), Mitchell, Pendlebury, Cooney, McVeigh, Martin (Jetta, Bastinac)

Rucks

Kreuzer, Hille (Warnock, Lobbe)

Forwards

Riewoldt, Didak, Pavlich, Tippett, Rioli, Walker, Tapscott (Gumbleton, Podsiadly).

What do people think?

Im not sure bout some of ur backs. try replace drum or buckley with a kennely or attkinson

Leave ur mids alone

Rucks if uv got enough switch lobbe with Charman hes a steal at 159,300

Forwards leave but mabye in ur emergances switch podsiadly with watts if u can

Look to have a few worries.

MIDS - Midfield a worry. I believe you need at least 4 keepers to start with. Ablett and Kelly look the only guns. Isn't Eagleton injured? Check the Dogs board for injury update. ]
BACKS - Love the Swans much? Kennelly, Mattner, and Malceski out of one team, playing similar roles, and pinching points off each other.
FWDS - Not sold on Brad Miller either. Not a SC scorer (ave 52 last year).

Hope this helps alittle.

Argh, God this is hard work. A much more balanced side if you ditch Gazza, but you can't.....can you?

Thats a reasonable side I think.

Keep your eye on Waite during the NAB Cup. See what the Blues do with him. Nathan Krakouer is probably overpriced, and I'd steer clear of Henderson if I were you. Myers is an interesting choice, but I'd dump X Clarke.

Even though your going for versatility, one of Goddard and Hodge would be better suited in your backline I think. You need more rookies in the midfield, downgrade one or two and use the money to fix your shoddy backline.

Rucks are fine.

Forward line is stacked. Unless your strategy is to do your forward line now so you dont have to touch it later, I'd suggest starting a rookie and again, using the money to fix that backline.

This is my team so far... any feed back would be great, it's been doing my head in trying to nail it...

Back: Enright, Fisher, Hurn, Kennelly, Gilbee, Gram, Schoenmakers
Interchange: Sheppard, Davis

Midfield: Selwood, Burgoyne, Vince, Cooney, Hodge, Palmer
Interchange: Barlow, Shuey

Rucks: Tippett, White

Forward: Kennedy, LeCras, Knights, Roughead, Rioli, Ziebell, Dangerfield

Might have to make a couple of changes if Palmer isn't ready by round one...

Would appreciate any feedback on my team guys.

My main concerns are obviously the first year players, Wonaemirri (who is cheap but sounds like he is struggling w/ injury) and Burton (will he play a full season?

I'm not much of a rater, so I'll give it my best.

Overall, your team looks pretty good. Juddy is out for the first 3 weeks, so if you don't mind the fact that he'll be dead weight and save him for the home and away season, that's fine. Franklin is out for one, but same deal.

I'm not sure about Charman exactly. I know his price seems like an absolute steal, but will he get enough points to be your second ruckman, now that Clark has cemented his spot in the ruck?

Everything else looks good. Rookies/reserves look pretty solid.

well i dont think that morris and doughty are very hig scoring backmen
Very nice midfield i like sandilands but no simon taylor he just doesnt score much.. maybe get rid of taylor and put a goal kicking ruckmen in like jesse white. good foward line although jurrah is inconsistent as is reimers and burton!

Work Hard!

Thank you.

You have a very well balanced side. Having Maguire on the bench could be a winner, perhaps I'll adjust my thought process on rookies etc. I'm not sold on Kennelly's ability to slot back into Sydney's side.

I went for players that are down on their value, M McVeigh, Burgoyne, Waite to name just a few.

With Hodge, I have him in the middle but the beauty of this year's rules is you can swing him to back along with McPhee and Goddard so although it looks weak (and I'll will add to it) being able to put McPhee, Goddard and Hodge back during the season certainly strengthens it, especially with the ability to put Chapman, Dangerfield and Ziebell into the middle with Gumbleton and Tapscott being near certain starters for their respective teams - Gumbleton being a high possession lead-up target.

Decent side.

I wouldn't be too comfortable with Goose starting and Rivers is a bit of a waste. Ladson or Hunt would be a much better option.

Your midfield is good except for Bennell. You really need someone like Trengrove or Martin starting.

Rucks are fine.

In your forwardline your lacking another quality player. I'm not sold on Buddy (Gray IMO is a better option) and at Hansens price i'd rather Dangerfield or Ziebell. I reckon you'll get more value out of a 100k forward than Watts too.

My team:

Goddard, Enright, Hodge, Waite, Ladson, Hunt, Sheppard (Davis, Maguire)

Ablett, Selwood, Vince, Cooney, Walker, Cunnington (Bastinac, Shuey)

Sandilands, Tippett (Lobbe, West)

Riewoldt, Pavlich, Harvey, Gray, Dangerfield, Burton, Gumbleton (Dennis-Lane, Tapscott)

I'm really unsure about Walker and Burton but they're the best I can get at that price range.

Re: Rate my SuperCoach team

Gee their are a few that really need to take a deep breath or two.

Most of the sides look reasonable, some better some not. Their is no perfect team, it's how well you manage it during the season. If you really think you have a decent team this far out from round one then well done. It's all part of the fun to learn from your mistakes, not just copy someone else's side. What happens when you swap out a bloke who becomes the next star for a bloke who does very little? Create your own side and be happy with it.:thumbsu:

So much water still go under the bridge, players could sustain an injury between now and round 1, a rookie or under rated player could come from nowhere.

46 days still to go:)
