Riewoldt's a chance with quicker ball movement , Hayes will start too slowly for mine, he might only play 6 out of the first 8 with a couple of subs, Yarran's an interesting one in that his 3 worst scores last year were in wins and 3 of his 6 best were in losses - I like Carlton's draw so no for me.

The main problem i'm seeing in your team is the amount of mid pricers your going with.
I'll give you 1 maybe even 2, but you have 6.

Too many, best chance for break out would be Christensen. Garlett and Fasolo are probably too risky. Lake has already said he will probably need to find match fitness in the VFL so id steer clear for now, and unless Dangerfield moves into the midfield, his score wont improve to much. West is interestng but I doubt his scores will be that much higher than Stephenson or Giles anyway, so you may find it worth while to save some cash.

- I'll be stunned if Hayes doesn't go premium, on the proviso he can go injury free which is the big risk.

- I was very tempted to go with Motlop. Simply a matter of how much he will go up by. Very worthy pick.

- Saad

- Both. Jimmy Magner will be the steal of the year, and Junior will only play a handful of games (can't recall the exact number they were talking about) but I'm expecting most of them to come at the beginning of the season. If I had to pick between the two....maybe Junior. Less risky.

- I think not going 2nd ruck is too risky. As far as downgrades I'd honestly reconsider Fyfe. Gun and a half, but don't expect he'll be seeing as much of it with Barlow, Mundy and Morabito back (and Ballantyne reportedly set to rotate through the midfield).

Changed it about 20 times but reasonably happy, acknowledging the risks of Hayes, Porpoise and campaigner.

Kreuzer risk! will he be top 3 or 4 in rucks this year? I say no-goldstein mummy, mcevoy, cox & sandi all better proven scorers so you will have to upgrade and waste a trade later on.

Outrageously risky forward line! Starting Pfieffer?? he's not upgraded yet! Walsh looks like he'll give away 4 frees a game. I like ballaz though! Wouldn't touch the porps haha

You'd probs have to downgrade pav, hayes or heppell to get better ruck option.

Don;t be obsessed with DPP's. Handy, yes, but withut rolling byes this year their worth is less.

I love Ivan, but not for SC I wouldn't think. He bashes and crashes and should give us a great contest but that means FA's and I'd change him. Would replace with X actually

Zorko looks like a late starter so change. Hall still a rookie and with Horsley a chance I'd keep an eye on him before selecting

Sierakowski going to get games? I doubt it, early.

Smedts and Spioss both starting is a worry. I know it looks great as is, but you probably need to shave down your fwds. A Mitch Robinson instead of Goodes and change Smedts to a Bate or Christensen

Two rucks that are unlikely to get to premium and if you swap then it's trades wasted given their starting price. Choose a premum and a rookie or a midtier like a Renouf

Fwds need work. Saad, Hall and Pfeiffer on the ground? You could easily get 3 donuts in R2

At least 1 too many premiums in the mids. Here are where you find your rookies most likely to increase the most. I know it's tmpting, but drop one. I'd lose Pendlebury for a Lucas or Gaff. Don't think Hayes is compelling and you have plenty of recently badly injured players already in Lake, HMac, Kreuzer.

Just a few notes,

You have a few rookies in there, in Gibson, Horseley and Spurr. Just keep an eye on them. All good selections but just makes sure they get promoted.

Zorko is injured as well so might want to move him on. Not sure about Cordy either, might be better off starting Giles or Stephenson as they will probably score the same. If you do that you can upgrade NicNat to a premium.

At a quick glance it looks pretty reasonable. Obviously you rookies will change depending on NAB and likely r1 starts.

Agree Barlow & Hayes are gambles but if everyone had the same teams with little to no risk then it wouldn't be such a great comp eh.

Rucks are also a little outside of the norm but could reward?

The free cash could assist your light fwd line though

Question I have though is how are you going to handle the byes? for instance I see 10 blokes in squad (not including rookies) that will be missing in r13. I thought I was getting close to my squad yesty until I assessed the bye rounds.....
