was thinking the same mate, but not to sure who is a cheap priced defender, any ideas mate? maybe ladson?

Only thing I'd look at doing is upgrading McVeigh (cant get the love for him)

To do this downgrade Trengove & Moro to Shuey and Bastinac or the like and mayde Polkinghorne to somebody like Polak.

Overall strong looking side though...

Hey mate, nice team i like it!!

I think u should use that money to upgrade one of Higgins or Prismall to a premium like Swan or if u want to go someone a bit cheaper mabye Selwood or Pendles, this will give you a walk up capt. Also i would use some to upgrade Maguire to another cheap defender like Broadbent/Buckley etc. Also Gilbee isnt really that suited to DT, mabye get in a Shaw or Adcock

A lot of the teams in here arnt making much use of the new multiple positions rule. Most of the teams I have seen dont have much extra cover for their forwards or backs.

Don't you see all the people commenting but not posting their teams What do you think their structure might be? Hmmm.... though you do have to skip on some tasty people like Cooney and such to make it work.

EDIT: Just wait for the post saturday lockout 'This is my team' thread. Then you'll see the difference between these copy + paste teams and the more interesting ones.

It's hard to justify putting a player in simply because they are DP. I've made a team or two that have Tippett in the rucks and Lobbe in the forwards or Polak in the backs and Davis in the forwards, but that's about as far as I'll go, I think. I don't want to have Goddard, Pavlich or Chapman in the mids just because they're DP. I'm also not putting Kepler Bradley in my 22.

If you have another dual position MID-FWD player in the mids then you could substitute them for Dangerfield. Likewise, I have Tippett in the rucks and Lobbe in the forwards; they can be swapped by pressing the substitute button. If it so happened that Lobbe wasn't selected in the Port team I could sub Tippett onto the field in the forward line and have my back-up ruckman (Warnock or Skipper) play as second ruck.

Actually I think its pretty easy to justify. Not only will it help you avoid zeroes and other low scores throughout the year but it will also allow you to make more productive trades.

2nd team. Drop Carazzo to Bastinac and upgrade one of TDL/Tapscott/Lobbe based on Rnd 1 teams to someone else that will actually likely play 20-22 games.

Though Goddard is only DPing for Hodge/Ladson which seems a bit of a waste.
