Fraser was the best value pick back in 2006, and this year he'll be a senior player at Gold Coast which means a lot more playing time, so for his price, he's a decent enough get. Personally, I never pay too much for my rucks to begin with... easier to get higher scores for cheaper players in the midfield, doesn't seem a very cost efficient process to spend big on rucks.

Not really, could also be a good way of making some funds

well rd 1 he will have 8 players getting a 0, will that be too much to cope with in one hit? plus in Rd 3 it doesnt get much better for GC when the play the Dogs in melb

Only my 2nd year of SC (last year was a disaster with me needing 10+ trades to get a respectable team, so I was always behind the 8-ball)

First, very early draft:

Thoughts?

• On reflection, my forward line is quite weak.
• Not sure on Ablett, may wait for a price drop (hopefully)
• Which one would be better: Conca or Polec?

Good lineup. Get rid of O'Brien and get Rawlings/Grimes/Broughton.

Strong midfield but get Harris instead of Conca.

Campbell is injuried apparently.

Didak pre-season has been halted too but still if he comes good, then good pick

I'd have Prestia over Day and Smith starting and not Richardson (51 days you can change that )

Dangerfield, could be a breakout year. Would be a toss up between him and Ziebell.

How's Knights going? I'm not a fan off having more than 2 players of the same team in the same category. Mitch Morton would will be playing in the midfield over Knights perhaps

Good Backline. I'd have Grimes or Rawlings instead of Johncock.

Jamie McMillan from North is another one to get on aswell in defence.

Decent midfield.

Strong Ruck combo but depends on Big Cox's form really. Is he able to push it through like he used to?

Petrie, Sandilands would be more cheaper and getting vaule for money.

Goodes, some stay he is too old but still a champion

Overall decent lineup

O.k where to start with this one.

Your Backline...In rd 1 you will get at a minimum one 0 in your backline more likely three with GC having the bye.I personally would go Robert Murphy over Cambell Brown as it gives you cover for Waite up forward and Talia may not be getting game time when you need it.

Your Midfield...GAJ has round one off so you are losing points on a player like Swan, if you bring in GAJ say rd 10 he will have no byes left and it will be constant points from there on in, just a idea to think about. Martin is not worth the cash you can do much better for less and Zeibell just seems to have bad luck with injuries.

Your Rucks....All looks good on this front with Tippet on the bench as well as playing and Hale as cover.

Your Forwardline....I think Rohan is overpeiced and there is alot better value out there than him.The million dollar question for the year is will Hale go well at the Hawks or is Petrie the better option.Not sure about the choice of Monfries either.

You have a few weeks to tinker but it is not a bad start.

My first ever SC team. Did it at 12 last night so may have some tinkering left. Decided to make some risky picks and go with those I thought had some great scope for improvement (therefore maybe undervalued).

DEF: Broughton, Harbrow, Hurn, O'Brien, McPharlin, Pears, Toy (Otten, Heppell, Cripps).

MID: Judd, Griffen, Vince, Scully, Masten, Swallow (Shuey, Gaff, Mzungu).

RUC: Cox, Jamar (Naitanui, Z. Smith).

FWD: Franklin, B. Green, J Reiwoldt, Varcoe, Hurley, Wilson, A. Krakouer (Prestia, Matera, Michie).

$2600 left.

EDIT: will shuffle backline due to bye.

I already had another play around with my team before I read your reply, culled my GC players from 10 down to 5 to deal with the risks of the bye. I'll post an updated version soon.

I finished just outside of the top 20,000 last year so really looking to improve, because at one stage mid-year I was top 7,000.

Yeah I thought of that however I think Knights is going to be the steal of SC. Tore it up in 2009 before being injured throughout 2010. He is 100% fit with a full pre season so I expect him to be back for 2009 form.

Good team but too much left in your cap also try and not to get too many same team players in each catergory. In your back you have Tape and Krakeour. Krakeour should be dropped and pick up Grimes.

Get rid of Byran Schhummar from your bench, waste and get Curnow/Hibberd.

Nick Riewoldt is better than his cousin Jack in DT and a bit cheaper I think but you got plenty of extra k left.

Really, you should have the maximum of 100k left at the end and Minimum of 20k.

Hannebrery is a good get

Look at DT Dreamteam's rookies and follow them, you got some good ones but half won't play senior footy in 2011 I think.
