This is my team any thoughts would be appreciated
DEF: Goddard, Gibbs, Deledio, Rawlings, Toy, Otten, Heppell (Faulks, Poupolo ,Duigan )

MID: Swan, Judd, Hodge, Selwood, D.Swallow, Anthony (Hibberd, I.Smith,Harris)

RUCK: Sandilands,Petrie (Z.Smith,Bailey)

FWD: Franklin, Riewoldt, Harvey, Roili, Krakouer, Petrie,Prestia (Callinan, Mzungu, Richardson)

Remaining salary cap:34,800

Team overall looks good. I'm not sold on Petrie as a starting second ruck. Better to use him as cover and get either Jamar or Jolly or Mumford if you can afford him.

Harvey seems a bit past it for me. Just my opinion but i think he is to expensive and will drop on last year.

Edit: Just noticed you have Petrie in there twice

why is it that just about every team does not have daniel harris in it? surely he is one of the bargain must-haves this year?
Because, hes not. He averaged 74 in his last AFL season and has been slowly declining since 2006. Now in a worse quality side in the Gold Coast I highly doubt hes going to better his numbers from that year. Donkey call.

WOW, you must be really good at this you utter flog.

FO idiot

LOL.
You think the SC'ers that are actually half decent would go on forums looking for advice by posting their team, and all their bargain players for all the amateurs to see and copy? As Crawf said, noobs posting on here takes away the individuality of the game.
Why would you post your team. You're just jeopardising your chances.

FYI. Im feeling Nicoski will have a break out year.

Some of us want to win private leagues. Whatever happens overall, happens.. RE Nicoski.. doubt it

I don't give a 5hit about taking on the big guns. All I care about is having a team good enough to win me a slab off the w@nkers in my leagues. If getting suggestions off people on here guarrantees me a couple of weeks of not buying pi55 then I'm all for it.

Nicoski will bea bolter this year. Bookmark it. :D

Fairly poor call there.

He's scoring in his last season had to do with limited opportunity.

He'll play 80% game time and average over 20 possies (most contested). He'll average 75-80 and make at least 250-300k

At least change the lot i have in bold.
They are either injury prone or they are overpriced for what they will offer. They will not be keepers and they are too expensive to be cash cows.

Even Grimes and Riolo have had their fair share of injuries but the reward is there if you take the risk

First draft, new to supercoach, any feedback on this team?

Interesting. But surely you'd take Swallow and a couple others ahead of him (Gaff, Mzungu) just through purely the fact that we've seen what Harris can do, and the rookies have more potential (maybe) to make cash and are picked by the excitement of the unknown. Just my theory. But will be interesting to see how he goes.

No reason why you can't have Harris, Swallow and Gaff in the midfield with Mzunga in the FWD line.

I'm picking him up knowing what he can, and that is score consistently over 80. Therefore turning his $115k odd into ~$400k

Looks pretty good.. Watch the fitness of Grimes, Otten and in particular, Drummond.. all not guaranteed a full season. No Goddard? risky. Mids, No Swan? Pendlebury is just as good. Had him and Murphy last year and didn't disappoint. Not sold on getting Mitchell in. Bartel should be a good pick. No D Swallow? Rucks, No Sandi? Hope Cox can do the business for you. Don't think Robbie Campbell is going to get much game time. Bit like Brad Miller  at Tiges.. insurance policy. Fwds looks strong. Tippett with MPP with Petrie is good. Higgins is risky but why not.. stays fit he avgs 10 points then last year.. You could get away with starting Mzungu I reckon if ya want.. Good team, different team.. :thumbsu:

Still wouldn't pick him to start with.. Great upgrade target

It's a tougher call with Lake than many are making out IMO.

Eade will certainly play him if he's anywhere near fit, his style of points gathering is not as as affected by being a bit off full fitness as most other players (last year he was knocking out massive scores with a mattress strapped to his leg plus a couple of other injuries to go with it), and the Dogs have a pretty juicy first three rounds where they could kill off games by half-time and just be playing kick to kick in the 2nd-half.

There's even a chance Eade will play him FF early on and with the opposition they're up against, he might be leading the Coleman after the first three rounds. ;)

He's too good a scorer to totally dismiss IMO.

None of us who are posting here give a shit you turkey. Each year this thread, who has lots of interested people, have to read shit that people like yourself post.
Dry up and piss off if you have nothing to add Mr Expert!

A few quick questions

S.Burgoyne vs R.Griffen - Who should I go for? Don't have any other Hawthorn or Bulldog Midfielders in my starting team.

P.Bower - Havn't seen much love for him here. Had injury interupted season last year but before that scored well and will proably play more of a third man role in the back half.

Interstaters - Im not too familier with all the non-victorian club players. Few people have Andy Otten in their team. What's his story? Is he a gurarented starter? Is Broughten a consistent scorer? is he a safe bet?

Gibbs - A lot of people have Gibbs in the back half. Last year he was playing more loose man in defence and wont get as many cheap touches this year as he has been earmarked for a midfield start. But then could go the other way and by having Judd and Murphy in there could free him up more.

New Players - Will players like Heppel,I.Smith,Gaff and Atley be getting regular game time. Are they good for starters or as emergancies?
