looks like didak makes his long awaited return, pretty sure last year his came back after a injury lay off was against the lions at the gabba, and he did a bit of damage, he is not the player he was in his glory days BUT someone who will need to be given plenty of attention

he doesnt need much time or space to turn a half chance inot a goal or a goal assist

dunno why green has been dropped he's probs our quickest player and very good with creating pressure and crumbing goals which is probably needed this week given the conditions, probs dropped because he's been the sub lately but still sucky

Lot's of changes but I am fairly happy with them. The Lions 3 best reserves players of the year (Karenzis, Crisp and Harwood) have all come in. Very happy to see Paparone get another call up and Clarke and Longer will do the job:thumbsu:

Brown, Rockliff, and Leuy are all forced outs. Lisle has not been up to the standard and we need Michael as the back up ruck for Longer who can not ruck all game. Mayes is obviously getting a rest. The Green omission is a bit of a mystery. Dropped/Rested two weeks ago than returned last week as sub and gone again this week. Strange. Will be back soon enough though and I am very happy to see Karnezis and Crisp get a go regardless.

I feel so sorry for green and to Cornelius you could throw $100 40 metres ahead of him in the last quarter and still he wouldn't be bothered to sprint to get it.

Where does Harwood play? Having McGrath, Adcock, Docherty, Yeo, and Harwood all in the same side seems like a few to many small backmen. McGrath to play up forward? Adcock to play a negating midfield role? Yeo to play on a wing? Doc to play on a wing? Vossy to change his mind and give Harwood a go in the clearances? When you think about it there are a lot of options for every player.

stoked harwood gets an opportunity, lets hope he gets to play in the guts and racks up some hard ball gets

Green..???? Couldnt of done to much more as the sub last week

suprised at karnies inclusion, think he only had 8 or so touches in the ressies last weeek, I know his previous weeks have been impressive,

Agree...see ya later ace, paperone has overtaken him.

Shaw and didak huuuuuge IN for the pies, Kyle martin making his debut One im actually looking foward to see how he goes, kicked 6 in the vfl last week and racked up 29 touches a massive 12 tackles.

So we are relying on Michael and Paparone to kick a winning score when Lisle and Cornelius are available.

On paper, that is the worst forward line I have ever seen selected to play for the Lions.

might as well give the kids a go lisle hasnt showed he can be a goal scoring threat and cornelius's issues are well documented on here

seems like a plan to go small and mobile. Lisle didn't train, so is surely carrying and injury. Probably in light of that, we've said screw it, we've got no big targets, lets change things up and go small. Michael will make a good contest, lets hope our small guys get to the fall for the crumbs.

Collingwood have gone in quite small, with no real resting ruckman to deal with along side the two key forwards. Lack of tall defenders won't mean we're undersized this week, however the options should Cloke dominate are scarce.

No jarred witts for the pies is also massive for the lions cause they only have 2 main tall targets in qstick and clokey doke. Even after last week pretty sure that the lions can deal with those 2, its all the midsized goal scoring options that scare me players like elliot, krakour, didak, sidebottom, seedsman, swan, who can all score multiple goals and really hurt us.

lester at fullforward, interesting im sure staker and him will swap positions come game day, i will lose my shit if karneziz starts as sub again basically missing the point of including him in the first place, im sure
