Interestingly they graded his action as intentional.

I would think they may well challenge that.

I'd also challenge on the basis that we are going to lose the Freo game regardless, and its worth a punt to try and have Browny on Friday.

Great preview, RU.

If Leuey can get up, I'll still be backing us in to win.

Whilst losing Brown will hurt, I feel it could be a blessing in disguise to stop the 'bomb it to brown' and let players like Zorko and Bewick be proper targets up forward (As well as Lisle/Resting Ruck).

Clarke back into the side will be a nice boost as well.

Anything can happen in football, we saw it against Essendon and boy do we usually give a little bit more against the Pies (Most teams do).

Lions by 1.

Plenty of upside if we bring in Clarke , Golby and paparone. No luey will hurt if that happens but I think longer will do well against jolly

Injuries and suspensions have seriously cruelled what would otherwise have been a gilt edged opportunity to knock off the Pies on a Friday night.

Kinda gutting to be honest. A win would have given the classic jumper unstoppable momentum.

Enthusiasm for Friday is seriously dented.

Hopefully it hasnt dented the boys and WHOEVER plays, comes out and plays to 110 percent of their ability.
They have the bye to recover.
Go get em boys.:thumbsu:

Brown can accept 1 game for his strike.
Looking at the replay Brownies arm comes over Jamisons shoulder with the major impact on his chest area , slight touch on the side of his Jaw. Jamison did ok imo should get a gig on neighbers with those poor acting skills. soft c..k.
Also had some rugby league supporter mates with me, and this happened right in front of us ,they were impressed with Brown, shame about the charges. Maybe a chance for Sam to take Browns role. Also Acorn would possibly fair better without Brown there, have seen him in the past looking to see what Brown was doing , while it was his mark in front of goal. Gold coast / bris. Metricon last year.
Pendles to tag Karnie , LOL. no serious.

It's sad to think that Browny might not wear our premiership jumper ever again :(.

Way to make me even sadder...

The Carlton medical report must be a good read!

Was only graded low impact so the medical report wouldn't have caused a major issue.

The way Browny was sticking his marks against Carlton, I was hoping he would get a chance to sort out his kicking against Collingwood and have a vintage performance.

The intentional grading is worth contesting, that is just way to harsh.

i'm so ****ing pissed off right now, our club is riddled with injuries and suspensions.. how unlucky are we as a club

collingwood will win this by 42 just from the fact we are missing far to many players

at least we aren't north Melbourne though

Browny getting a week is a joke

So Jolly has no case to answer, and Brown cops 225 points.

AFL trying to even this contest up.

Can someone who is tech-savvy upload a clip of both incidents mashed together? I'd love to be able to directly compare them and see how one is worth 1-2 weeks, and the other nothing.

So there is a strong chance that we could go into this game with all of Merrett, Rich, Brown, Leuenberger, and Golby out. That is our number 1 key defender, our best midfielder, our number 1 key forward, our number 1 Ruckman, and our best small defender all out. Just great.

Have to think positively lionshine!

The way I look at this situation is a bit different.

Yeah okay, Leuey is our best Ruckman but Longer is seriously ahead of his development and Collingwood aren't exactly the Ruck giants of the AFL.

We didn't have Rich against Essendon and right now I'd say that Stanton and Watson are in more form then Swan and Pendlebury.

Brown is ageing and can barely provide a contest, his biggest strength is taking the number 1 defender.

Merrett is a big loss but the inclusion of Clarke and possibly Maguire might offset it a little bit.

We have enough small defenders to cover Golby; Elliot Yeo, Sam Docherty, Ryan Harwood, Jed Adcock.

Go Lions!

Roll the dice, I say.

Would love to see Paps come in - he really gives us something.

I wonder how Dadsy would go up forward where he belongs.
Leuey seems to be wearing plaster so I can't see how he can be considered.
Collingwood will be taking us lightly and will be ripe for the picking.
Hopefully the outs and the Blues loss will poke these "bears" into action.
Confidence can be a wonderful thing but we always seem to be patting ourselves on the back far too long after a big win. The boys need to see that the Pies are do-able but need to bring the right mindset.
It will be a tough ask but they/we need to get in the headspace of considering the possibility that Collingwood won't bring their best and that we are capable of an ambush. Is Shaw still out? Because Harry OHHH and maxwell can play like complete spuds who couldn't even spell Paparone and will give no respect to Michael or Ace.
