AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
Hopefully the Pies don't show up on Friday.Oh and Webke on 7 news said we're playing on Saturday so that's an extra day to prepare.
That's why they will challenge itIt's sad to think that Browny might not wear our premiership jumper ever again .
I am very much a positive thinker BeamStar17 and I love your positivity currently but losing Merrett, Golby, Leuy, and Brown in the space of 2 weeks is a big toll on the team and even if you have better players to come in and cover them, that messes up with the team structure and chemistry immensely. I will still head to the Gabba this Friday however with a positive outlook and with the thought process that we can winHave to think positively lionshine!
The way I look at this situation is a bit different.
Yeah okay, Leuey is our best Ruckman but Longer is seriously ahead of his development and Collingwood aren't exactly the Ruck giants of the AFL.
We didn't have Rich against Essendon and right now I'd say that Stanton and Watson are in more form then Swan and Pendlebury.
Brown is ageing and can barely provide a contest, his biggest strength is taking the number 1 defender.
Merrett is a big loss but the inclusion of Clarke and possibly Maguire might offset it a little bit.
We have enough small defenders to cover Golby; Elliot Yeo, Sam Docherty, Ryan Harwood, Jed Adcock.
Go Lions!
I can't believe Brown has been suspended. Just a free kick. That's it. Mark Fraser is a joke. I am disgusted

Word is that the Lions will challenge Brown's suspension tomorrow.
Collingwood expects defender Heath Shaw to travel to Brisbane this week, having overcome the lower back complaint that kept him out of last week's loss to Sydney. Shaw missed Collingwood's round-eight match through suspension, after he was rubbed out for striking Fremantle's Hayden Ballantyne, and could not be considered for the Swans game due to his minor injury. But football manager Geoff Walsh said he had trained well on Monday and looked capable of lining up against the Lions at the Gabba on Friday night
But recruit Clinton Young's anticipated return from a long-term hamstring injury remains about two weeks away.
Yeah for me the season is gone. I want the Lions to win badly still; but know each win now hurts our picks in next years draft.
I really don't mind the outs we have except when they're young lions like Clarke, Golby and Beams. At least it gives us a chance to experiment further with things. I'm sure Vossy feels differently.
Patty K. must play this week IMO. Enough is enough. Put him in the middle which allows Redden to stay forward permanently. Please stop putting Redden in the middle. He makes a bigger impact forward with his tackling and kicks goals.
