Lol, we cant even beat an injury hit Saints.

Adelaide are laughing at the trade we made, though Stocker is the only Carlton player I trust by foot.

Are we going to have another Player meeting after this sh#$show?
You guys have got a (future)star in Stocker be sure of that.

There is a host of issues with this club. Where do we start?
I dont think so. I say its one issue.
They dont have the serious full on appetite for the contest at this point in time.
Why I dont know but this game was not about youth or inexperience or skills or umpires or coaching setups. Its something else. An intangible if you like.
I say its all between the ears.
Yes every single bit of it.

Bolton is singularly the problem. Soapy you are just too nice.

Someone will have to explain to me how?

Are people in meetings, do they know what players are being told, what are the instructions, are the players ignoring him, what is it exactly?

I would really like to know. What i see is a side that is extremely young and pushed around and no matter what the the structure would struggle.

As I have said many times I can't question a coach if he doesn't have the players

Stop being a smartarse Arrow. We all know the answer to that.

It's probably a fair debate point if the other poster is pointing to 100+ games or U50 games. Analysis can't be cherry picked stats.

You know that over our BF journey, if we posted an argument, we had to be able to back it up or get slayed on the boards. Lazy arguments were slaughtered around here.

I think opinions are so polar opposite at the moment, that any argument is looking like bullying. It's really not bullying if someone can articulate an argument better than another. Both sides are entitled to defend their position as long as it is constructive debate.

Edit: I myself don't subscribe to the 24-27 age range being an excuse in this match but I'll defend anyone's right to argue it.

Apparently we are picking DeLuca who is 23.

If he is the best player available, then good and well. If we are picking him because of age and support for this year, then it’s the wrong decision. Knowing Bolton, he’ll play him as a defensive forward anyway......

Our game plan stinks. We have recruited big boys with great hands in our forward line (McKay, Curnow & McGovern) yet we move the ball so slowly

We move the ball so slowly because our midfielders LOVE to jog. If we get a fast break - they jog. If we turn it over - they jog. If the opposition turns it over - they jog.

Let's be brutally honest, Dow, Murphy, SPS, Setterfield, Cripps, Fisher, Kennedy all don't get out of first gear unless the ball is within 5m of them.

And it's no shock that Barker is in charge of them.

I think I'm more embarrassed by the Fake Aggression we mustered...

Oh geez, can't win. You don't remonstrate when a teammate is hit but when you do, it looks fake.

With 1 minute 30 seconds to go we are chipping kicks deep into our backline backwards and sideways.

WHAT THE BLOODY HELL IS GOING ON THERE

...To those that have not yet worked it out... this^ is our game plan!! No I'm not joking or being facetious, that is it.
We do it every week and avoid the corridor like it's literally a minefield. This is exactly why Bolton has to go.

You are lucky. I’m 30...seen nothing good that I can remember. My baby is due in July and I’m seriously considering whether to put this child through the pain of being a Carlton supporter lol.

Same boat. I'm 32 this year. Highlight I can remember is 2011. How ****ed is that.

2 kids. My daughter is 3 and Carlton crazy. Runs around singing our song all the time. Hope we improve before she knows any better

I understand your pain - my son is 32 so I carry a bit of guilt for his going through the same

Dumb. The endeavour is there. Hell, even the effort was there today.
Alas; we are just simply dumb.

Example A; Two mins to go. Down by two goals. Kreuzer and McKay in the middle expecting the big bold corridor kick. Nope, Plowman ever so predictably of our ridiculous gameplan, chips it to the pocket.

If I had the patience to watch the replay you could pick a thousand others.

It’s starting to hurt this and the pressure valve is at boiling point.

The fumbles, the indecisions, the lack of confidence. The skill level of these top end draft picks...
Where is the spread, the work rate to ensure we get the loose man on the wing (like every fckg club seems to do to us!)

The development of our players is a concern. The way we structure up is a concern. The cohesion between our mids to forwards is a shambles. The overall forward set up is a mess. It has been for a very long time.

The slow, predictable and painful way we move the ball in from a kick in. Chip to pocket. Chip across ground. Long kick to a one on one. Boundary throw in in the black flank.

Bolton, in my view, is a wonderful teacher and mentor but he’s getting brutalised on game day. Do we need another Neil Craig or do we need to find an alternative coach(es)?

I am firmly in Bolton’s corner but geez I wish our players played for their coach the way you see Collingwood & Richmond do.

So hard to stay positive at the moment.

Why is bolton a wonderful teacher? What runs on the board does he has to even suggest that he is a good teacher.
