Very good performance. Could've kicked straighter, but hopefully the bad kicking week was this week and next week we kick like we did against Port.

Hannan was a lot better, but against a lot weaker opposition, I'd keep him in the side, but someone will have to make way for English.

Hopefully Trealor will be fit for next week. Scott for English my only change at the moment.

Bont on track for a Brownlow if he has a few more weeks like this.

Weightman is the perfect spark up fwd. 2 goals+ a game high 3 assists.

Thrilled for JJ - would be a breakout game if the bloke didn’t already have a norm collecting dust on the mantle.

I genuinely couldn’t say who our best player was tonight. Just an outstanding group effort with a ridiculous number of contributers. I would say however, Bailey Dale can feel free to take one enormous bow. Star!

Would still love to have English back to 1 (relieve Sweet against Max Gawn and 2) cause a bit of havoc for their defense. This forward line gets me excited:

HF: Bont Naughton Johannisen
FF: Weightman Bruce English
INT: McNeill, Hannan

Just really good variation of skillsets and body types.

Really happy for JJ, he was awesome, particularly in the 2nd half. Just because a player has a bad run of form doesn’t mean they are finished. He’s working his way nicely into a new role. And he’s way better than Hill.

Norm Smith notwithstanding, I felt that was the best all round performance JJ has ever played because I’ve never seen him be that committed and fierce at the ball and player. Some of his effort were approaching Libber level. Needs that against Salem and co next week.
