Put simply, how the bloody hell is this still a 1 v 3 clash and we're still 3rd?

Dropped 4 on the dangle and then got over the Tigers VFL side at KP and still hanging in there at 3rd.

And up against the best team in the league sitting on top in the Swans on their dunghill.

If everything goes right and they are a little off we can get them - but its a long shot.

Our MF has to be ready to go all game long and then not stop.

All chances must be taken and executed first time.. no thinking we'll get a second chance and pressure must be elite from the get go.

Its a tough ask up there but its doable... and the way this roun dhas gone can't rule it out.

0-5 so far in the tips so hoping that trend continues with a Cats' win.
But I can't see it.

IMO we have better forwards and backs but the the MFs and rucks just don't stack up.
Looks like a belting to me.

But you never know, Scott will have something up his sleeve.
Whatever it is sadly I don't think we can go with them for the four quarters, even if we go lockdown early then try to claw back.

50+ loss points for me. That would get me 1-5.
That's the upside of tipping against the Cats. Either way you win.

Yeah, this could get a bit ugly.

Here's an odd proven concept-think you will fail and you will.

Obviously, they are not approaching this game as losers, but for Scott's admission that we are starting badly, and we would like to limit the opposition from getting the jump, today. A winner's mentality is that WE jump them.

Can't see it, but hope we are in touch by the last quarter, then it's game on.

Can only hope that Swans have lost some momentum post bye, which does happen. Our team is not that bad, but no Danger continues to hurt. We definitely need to hunt them as we will, but for 4 quarters. I like it when we are major underdogs. Tigers being the only team so far to beat Swans is a bit bizarre, but anything is possible- even now the Hawks are looking like finalists. YUK.

Sydney are not unbeatable. The form of clubs has been all over the place this season. The Swans are due a poor performance.

The Swans have had their foot hard on the pedal all season. They have taken it off due to the bye and hopefully they will not reach that same speed immediately against us.

My Hail Mary hope is that Sydney who were flying somehow come back from their bye not switched on and maybe their routine/flow has changed and it impacts them negatively.

Normally you wouldn’t want a team of the bye because they theoretically should be well rested… but the way they were going, I’m happy for there to be that change.

I doubt it does anything… but it’s all I can think of that might help us.

I’ll just be watching without much expectations and hope the kids like Clark, Dempsey & Neale show plenty.

Ollie Dempsey for mark of the year, goal of the year, 3 brownlow votes, and a nomination for Australian of the year announced by the prime minimiser after the match

Don't think that nom will come from an (un) committed supporter of bird teams- Sydney, Hawthorn and Collingwood.
Typically, from a Polly, can't pick one unless there's votes in it.

Why are so many thinking Swans will be lacklustre after their Bye? Following their Bye (Rd5) they soundly defeated Suns in Rd6 - 110 to 57.

Suns were crap last year- this year Swannies have only beaten good teams by 24+ points.
And we're gooder than those.
We think.
