AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
Gary Ablett is expected to lead a number of big inclusions for the Suns when they host Collingwood at Metricon Stadium on Saturday. Ablett missed the weekend's loss against Sydney with a minor hamstring injury, but should be fine to face the Magpies. Pearce Hanley is another who missed the Swans match with a hamstring niggle but is right to go, as is dashing midfielder Aaron Hall (hamstring) who has missed two games. Kade Kolodjashnij has recovered from a concussion he suffered at training two weeks ago, while veteran Michael Rischitelli is in line to make his long-awaited comeback from a knee reconstruction after a solid month building up his match-time in the NEAFL. - Michael Whiting
5 ins? Gaz, Hall, Hanley, KK, Rischa
Id take out Davis, Lemmens, Lonergan, MacPherson, McKenzie
I was just walking the dog and low and behold the Suns were training at my local oval. Can't believe it. In regards to the people mentioned
Ablett-looked 100% fit and he seems very popular and a happy guy who loves training and his teammates
Hanley-he did plenty of running and looks right to go
Hall-I don't think he was there. So I'd put a big question mark on him playing
KK-he was basically one on one with a physio and never broke out of a walk and doing light exercise. I'd put a big question mark on him playing too
Rischitelli-he was probably the one training with the most intensity out of everyone so he is right to go
Salk Oval home of the Palm Beach LionsThat seems random mate? What oval was that? Broady or something?
I wonder why Metricon is out of action?
U tell me, I was very surprised. I do the same walk every day pretty much and have never seen them there before.Do you think it was just for a change of scenery?

Ok-that's a shame. Looks like we might have to trade Leslie at seasons end then. Can't see us needing him when Day is back next year.
We might get something for him, he's earned a bit of respect this season, maybe Sydney/Melbourne/Hawthorn might be interested.
Trade Leslie after 1 game in the twos?
He's been very good this year and if anything will ask to leave based on the fact that he's getting shafted by the coaches after improving quite considerably this season.

There's a few reasons why I suggested it
1-next Year we have May/Thompson/Day
2-he's not contracted
3-a number of clubs want a key defender so we might get something for him
Anyway when I put it out there it went down like a lead balloon so I'm humble and man enough to concede I must be off my tree
Totally agree it's wierd,I've never heard of anyone missing more than 1 game. This situation with KK missing so many is unheard of.Can anyone tell me what type of concussion takes 4 weeks. And it was done at training?
WTF is going on. That is just is so weird.
Players often miss more than one game when they have had multiple in one year. Brayshaw at Melbourne has missed most of the year with it. I'm pretty sure he was concussed earlier this year? Might have had one last year as well.Totally agree it's wierd,I've never heard of anyone missing more than 1 game. This situation with KK missing so many is unheard of.
As I said earlier he is still separate from the group doing really light walking pace stuff today at training.
When u read my stuff cochblocked please remember I'm an NRL guy who has a lesser knowledge of the AFL, I did play 2 seasons of AFL,however, even then I followed NRL more closely, so yeah I'm talking more from NRL. I don't even know who Bradshaw of Melbourne is to be honest.Players often miss more than one game when they have had multiple in one year. Brayshaw at Melbourne has missed most of the year with it. He's just some young player. I think all sports clubs are being over careful with young players and concussionWhen u read my stuff cochblocked please remember I'm an NRL guy who has a lesser knowledge of the AFL, I did play 2 seasons of AFL,however, even then I followed NRL more closely, so yeah I'm talking more from NRL. I hope he's not some big time player and I've just made a dick of myself.
You don't find 4 weeks from a training incident strange?Players often miss more than one game when they have had multiple in one year. Brayshaw at Melbourne has missed most of the year with it. I'm pretty sure he was concussed earlier this year? Might have had one last year as well.
Yeah it is, the club needs to get better at explaining what's going on, i guess because we are small the demand for info isn't there. You don't find 4 weeks from a training incident strange?
Did May bury his head 1 meter down the turf. Very strange to me.
Suns too late to the party. Been there. Done That. Played my first ever game of footy at Salk Oval in 1980.Salk Oval home of the Palm Beach Lions
Few really good ins for you guys. As much as one part of me wouldn't mind Gaz missing so we have a better chance of winning, he's such a star that you want him playing regardless of the situation.
Not sure if it's pessimism but I just can't see us winning. We cannot stop leaking goals at the moment, Mids have zero confidence and everyone knows our forward line is beyond disfunctional.
Where is Matera at? Seems at the moment that small forwards carve us up. Well, not just at the moment; been that way for years. We can't match up good small forwards.
