Gee that was one of the most lacklustre uninspiring halves of football I have ever seen. Both teams have been fairly poor except for a few glimmers of light here and there.

I guess it is to be expected with two pretty inexperienced lines up out there. But the game has just got no atmosphere about it.

Need to lower the trajectory of kicks inside 50. Keep lofting them up and it's making it though for Close, Merrett and especially the mozzies.

Umpiring IMO has not been to the advantage if either team and generally ok. Few corkers each way and some missed calls each way - I generally think we as a thread are too quick to cry poor - hasn't been anything in it tonight. We will likely get slaughtered in the 2nd half haha

Don't agree at all - the umpires are missing all the grabbing and spoiling and picking out the ricky touchwood frees to get the ball out of the crush.

Merrett is being monstered when the ball is coming into the forward 50.

None whatsoever.

We're even becoming irrelevant in Brisbane and now that Brown is gone, I'm not sure who or what is going to attract people to the Gabba.

Speaking of people at the Gabba, I'm of the view that our membership number is grossly inflated (like most AFL clubs except for WA and SA teams) in terms of actual full season ticket members (not counting Vic members / 3 game members / dogs, fish, baby's etc.) and would lucky to be in excess of 10K.

The crowds of our last few games is definitely going someway to illustrate that.

I think Vossy is over playing the missed tackle thing though. Says if Weagles turn that arunfd they will win. Shell grit, we are winning most of the important stats - so what if they miss a few stinking tackles.
