The Eagles raft of changes might help us, I spose. I'm in the same boat as you but I do have a bit of optimism about the game for some reason.

I'm unsure if the bird's an eagle but I changed my avatar in anticipation of the result.

If we had anyone decent to bring in instead of losing our main midfielder we would have made more changes as well.

I'm still surprised we didn't take the opportunity to give Crisp a chance. This is the ninth game he has been named emergency this season.

Remember years ago when he was touring, someone asked me if I was going to his concert.
I said jokingly, I am married to a middle aged man with a beer gut ,why would I pay money to go and see one perform.

Admittedly he sings much better than my better half though.

It's funny, I asked my wife why pay to see an old guy perform in public when you get a performance at home for free. Needless to say she went and saw John Farnham, Elton John, the Eagles and Leonard Cohen in quick succession.

I am just excited to see our young guns play again. Watching the development of Gardiner, Clarke, Close, McStay, Paparone, Squizzy, Aish, and even slightly older players like Green, Lester, and Beams is an absolute pleasure.

It is also exciting to watch genuine line breaking players like Hanley and Zorko.

P.S. We should all be enjoying the last couple of opportunities to watch Ash McGrath play. He is a long time player of the club and our last remaining premiership player. (That is if he retires at the end of the year of course).
