Martin doing well against NicNat at the minute
He really is playing so well....has "grown" in stature and maturity imo...... Would like to see him up forward more often, can kick a good goal and could do a Lynchy.

Will Merrett take a contested mark tonight? He is so far off the best option at full forward it is not funny.
Its not that he isn't skilled, more so that he, like many young footballers across the league are gifted games when they're not deserving of it.
Far too many teams and nowhere near enough real talent.

Not much to write home about - intent looks fine but the ball use has been awful. Hoping we can pick it up.
Mackenzie is going to be a nightmare for Merrett all night, he just has to keep working. We have to stop being silly with the ball too, Zorko trying too much entering 50 is a prime example.

Their forwards are pushing up and providing a release option to defenders. Our defenders look up and see only an option 65 metres out that invariably result in turnovers.
Still, we're one missed handball away from having some chains that lead to running shots streaming into the midfield. Of course we've botched them far too often this season.

Apparently we're too good to bother tagging anyone this season which is a pity considering we've got one of the best rotting away in the reserves.
Could it also not be that we have so so many senior players either injured (Rich, Rockliff, Redden, Leuey, Staker), or dead in the water (Moloney, Raines)?
Golby is on Gaff.
Intent and most of the movement looks good - kinda similar to last week so far ...
Big Sauce Merrett needs to lead and stop waiting for the ball to be bombed to him. We look clueless going forward. Zorko trying too hard at times but least he is getting touches. Think we need to just play on quicker and use our main asset pace.
That's an excellent way to describe how Raines is going in the reserves.
Raines has not been himself in the ressies according to all reports. A shadow of his former self.
