haha Clarkson!

He'll be fuming

I haven't been the Hawks board yet - are they still trusting he knows what he's doing.

Give him his dues he's built a dynasty from scratch and they have rightfully made every short-term move they needed to to give themselves the best chance of winning during the premiership window but the cupboard is now bare with ageing warriors and kids that are not up to it.

I did, and many others with me

But the pain just makes this sweeter
I don't blame you boys, It's been a rough fortnight.

But for that exact reason is why I've endured through all the pain with positivity and look at the reward! Sweeter than a truck full of sugar!

THIS. IS. SPARTA!!!
No, son.

THIS. IS. GOLDCOAST!

it's incredible what a bit of motivation and a positive mindset can do. such an amazing performance backing up from the lows of last week!

also, how bloody good is it to have swallow fit and firing. what an inspirational performance, he is the heart and soul of our club.

biggest ever winning margin, against a club we've never beaten, at a time when we needed a win most, against the pansy o'shopaholic. you couldn't script it any better!

This feels like a red letter day for the club. I hope we move forward from this, and we'll look back on this day as a bit of an epoch in GCFC history.

Of course, this is the third time I've felt this sentiment, so I'm going to temper my expectations just a little.

So pleased for Fishy Matera
Gets a fair bit of a kicking on here but a bag of 6 is a career right there
didnt think much of it when watching live, just thought it was downhill skiing as usual but he impressed me with his work off the ball and they weren't all easy goals

Great to see Suns 2018 recruit Jake Kolodjashnij celebrating the win in the rooms View attachment 355769
Lot of good performers today obviously, but Harbrow was an absolute stand out.. clear best on ground for mine with Witts, Martin and Swallow not far behind.. Another point worth noting was Bowes in the last quarter, the heat was out of the gzme but he almost played with an arrogance only the really top players (Pendlebury ) can get away with... I hope this was the quarter that gave him the confidence to excell at this level because he is a beauty.. I hope Ainsworth comes back in as well..

Fish is a downhill skier like most small forwards are. In a good team he'll kick goals. Breust & Puopolo unsighted in a team copping a flogging.

I don't want to rain on his parade but how far in front were we when he kicked his first goal.

If a bloke does a 180 and changes the way he plays I'm happy to admit I am wrong. Did his job tonight and needs to keep it up.

The Hall's and Matera's are dependent on the Miller's and the Swallow's to be able to finish off their work.

BTW how good is Joyce - I think they even threw him in the centre square and he got the clearance.

Add Cyril to that conversation ....
Matera has Always contributed to our scoreboard despite issues - every team needs the right mix of different players.

I saw Poppy.. he was the one trying to chase Saad like Adam had just stole his falafel.. but had to give up while Saady bounced away from him... that vision will stay with me for a while!

Haha only you could burn Matera after his performance tonight...

Love Ainsworth back but can't really find anyone to drop. Maybe if Lyons cops 1 week but he should be right as it was just an accident.

Lemmens will have a big job next week as a defensive forward - at Etihad Docherty and Simpson carve it up out of the backline and are important in launching their attacks. Blues are not overly endowed with our level of talent but are very well organised and coached. If we don't show up with the same mind set next week we'll get beaten.
