You're just lucky that it would have physically impossible to be you in that costume during the mascot race at the NEAFL grannie last year. That performance was just ... abysmal.

Money on Melbourne at the line to help drown my misery just incase. Not too disappointed im stuck at work missing the game this week. Feeling very meh about footy at the moment.

Expecting nothing and fearing the worst.
Odds of $5 and thereabouts being offered for Melbourne are clearly ridiculous and if I wasn't so emotionally invested in the outcome, I'd have a few bucks on them. Tempting as it is, I just can never bring myself to bet against my beloved Lions....it's far too conflicting for me.

Not sure what you call it, but I have had this empty, hollow, kinda unsettled feeling the last few weeks a few hours before our games start, can't eat, don't even want to have a beer, is it nervous energy? Gee if this is how it is to be a supporter at this point in time, imagine what the players are going through.

don't normally buy into selection/sub matters but have to confess to being a bit bemused about the decision to make Doc the sub. Ash subbed off without a touch (albeit injured) at qtr time last week vs Doc who was one of the better performers last week...
