Feel like Clarke has to come in.. Just to provide some form of spark and positivity.

It's a shame English can't be dropped after that pathetic performance.

Hopefully Garcia gets the opportunity as a full time mid. He's earned that right. Not plonked on a flank and attending 3 centre bounces.
I’d like to see Clarke in also.
First in has to be Garcia. I’d probably bring in Harmes also.
To me gags and sanders need a rest. It’s a big work load for young players. I don’t think either have done anything wrong just seems like out put has dropped so probably a little tired.

This is where getting rid of Sweet will come back to bite us. Would prefer him right now over whatever the hell English is serving up. He should be told he'd be dropped down to the VFL this week if we had a viable replacement.

Somehow get Garcia, Clarke in - I'd also be giving Ed Richards a huge run through the midfield as well. No more of this Bont/Libba/Treloar/English combo that we seem to roll up every single center clearance, we really need to start rotating through other mids at a much higher percentage compared to what we currently are.

Sanders, Ed, Garcia, English in the middle for a large chunk of the game please.

Possibly- but I'm suggesting* no ruck. No one jumps, just let oppo ruck tap it down to our 4v3 mids. It's like conceding 5 on the mark, but in the ruck!
Didn’t Bevo sort of try this in 2015? I remember a game vs Freo where he picked some random tall (Cordy?) to take on Sandilands and after getting belted in the first quarter, we kind of just forfeited the role.

Really weird game to watch live because of it, but the tactic appeared to work that time (we came back and lost a close one IIRC).

Luke Beveridge is not going to drop Tim English this week. Some coaches might...but I'd bet the house on English playing AFL rather than ressies footy. However, if we are ever going to have multiple selection changes, this would be the time, Luke.

In Clarke ,Garcia ,Busslnger ,Harmes,Lobb,Arty
Out Libba conc , English Gallagher ,Sanders and Buku rest one week.Macrae sorry to say Harmes is better

Zaine Cordy to have his first career Best on Ground - in the ruck.

I just hope with Libba out, the midfield rotation gets a proper shake up. I'm talking Garcia, West, Sanders, Cody in there. Mix it up a bit because the majority minutes to three mids and Chilli is not working. Will not hold my breath.

What we need in the midfield is a jet with genuine leg speed. The way the game is played today you need one problem is we do not have one (Maybe Bailey could have been that player if he was not injured). It was my only concern with Sanders if we going to give away next years first pick we needed to get a jet with good skills. I got no doubt Sanders will be a good player and if we already had a couple of midfield jets he would have been a perfect fit.

Our quickest 3 players at the moment are probably, Baker, Bramble and VDM none of these are highly skilled players that make good decisions. Hope Freijah and O'Driscoll will prove to be the type of player we need but that is long way down the track.

Good post, but I do think legspeed isn't as important as brainspeed. We have been indecisive across HBF and HFF, likely because our game patterns are being read by opposition. The indecisiveness then makes everyone look slow on foot.

I can easily see Bevo just bringing in Harmes for Libba and running the same midfield rotation with Jacko. Not that Harmes hasn’t put his hand up but we’ve got a possible 23 year old Libba replacement in Garcia who’s belting down the door.

It would be a damn shame if he isn’t called up and given at least half of his minutes in the centre square to see what he’s got.

Sorry for the intrusion but I have tickets to this weeks game for sale -

If anyone is interested I have 4 x adult tickets for sale for the Saints vs Bulldogs game 18th April all seated together Level 2 Row E seats 63-66. They cost $77 each so PM me with an offer if you are interested.

I live interstate and broke my leg a week ago and cant get there unfortunately,

Lets hope for a great game both clubs could do with a win!

In: Garcia, Chook, Harmes
Out: Baker, Bramble, Libba

Chook to debut for some spark up forward, and will also allow Cody to have some midfield minutes. I'd even throw Richards in there to shake it up. Desperate to see something exciting and unpredictable in game for the first time in a while. The wingers were the hardest to select, but I'm not sure having very average wingers playing is better than having much better footballers plonked on the wing. Leg speed is not everything....

B: Buku, Jones, Truck
HB: Richards, JOD, Doc
C: Dale, Garcia, Macca
HF: Flea, Naughty, West
F: Chook, JUH, Darcy
R: Chilli, Bont, Adz
I: Sanders, Gags, JJ, Vanders (Sub: Harmes)

JJ and Richards are still quick and capable of using the ball well. (I say capable after the comical incident with Bramble and JJ)
