How can anyone NOT look forward to games like this??
After 30 odd years of watching shit from Richmond, I can finally put up my feet and confidently feel a 15 goal belting on its way.
(Providing we kick straight)!

We're going to lose - and I'll tell you why.

1967 - cruising into the finals. Our last loss was to Essendon who limped pathetically into 6th place, never challenging. We then won everything to the flag.
1969 - Massive charge into the finals, won from 4th. Our last loss was Rd 16 to Fitzroy - who finished 10th.
1973 - Getting ready for finals - last rd we play Footscray - who knock us off. Footscray finished 9th (out of 12). We go on to win the flag.
1974 - EXACTLY the same - lose the last Rd to Footscray (who admittedly scraped into 5th, but the result of the game had no bearing on either teams final placing and Footscray got smashed in their Elimination final). We go onto win flag.
1980 - we play South Melbourne (who aren't playing finals) in last Round. Guess what?
2017 - We are cruising towards September when we put in a complete disaster against Saints (who go on to finish nowhere). We win flag (yes, we lost to Geelong a few rounds later, but that spoils the joke:p).

When we win a flag, we put in an inexplicable shocker late in the season - 'the loss we had to have'. We're not losing either of the last 2 at the MCG, we don't travel well this year, and imagine the outrage on BF if we go on to win the flag after 'Losing to that Gold Coast Rabble!'.

We'll have a gold asterisk on our jumper next year:D:D:D.

Well Sportsbet are paying 17-1 (with the 20 points up payout). So here's a chance to pay for your grandfinal tickets :D:D:D

Only expecting 2 premiership Tigers to come back int the team this weekend.....

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2018-08-09/premiership-tigers-may-wait-a-little-longer

Not sure I would risk Prestia, give him that extra week to be 100% right.

Broad I agree with, and my concerns with Houli start to emerge.... huge battle to make it back into the senior team.....

He’d only be playing if he was 100% right. Small crack in the rib is an impact injury - pure bad luck. An extra week doesn’t minimise the chance of him getting another impact injury.

I dare say giving him unnecessary time off hurts his conditioning and increases the risk of soft tissue injury.

I'd say GWS was our shocker, and similar to our Geelong loss late last year.

We're not dropping a game for the rest of the year.

Lol it’s Thursday and the preview thread is only 6 pages long.

That’s how significant this game is. Lol

It’ll be awesome to see Broad and Prestia back this week! Can’t wait.

I fly out tomorrow afternoon, it’ll be awesome to get out of Melbourne for a week.

I wouldn't mind seeing a few players rested for this one. Guys like Nank, cotchin or anyone sore should be looked at for a rest.

Apparently we aren't resting anyone. We'll see.

But I suspect that if GC keep up their form it'll be bruise free and almost like a rest anyway.

I hope that GC do give a shout. But they were witches hats against the Dees. Club's in turmoil (again) and issues between players. Hard to get up against the No. 1 team in the land.

The one thing in our favour is the result they pulled against the swans 3 weeks back. Means we will be wary and know we can’t take them lightly. Aberration or not that result against the Swans will keep us on our toes.

Haha. Players could arrange a pool party on the morning of the game and still win by 10 goals.

What’s the chances early they would get that 20 up lol tempting
Especially after the Carlton Game where we gave them a 5 goal head start just for a laugh. So funny even the umps wanted a piece of it.
I think Sportsbet had a 4 goals up rule going then. So they paid out on a Carlton win in the first 10 minutes.

Whilst the club have said we won’t be resting players, I won’t be fooled.

I have no doubt we’ll be managing players in game. Don’t be surprised if TOG for guys like Edwards, Cotchin, Nankervis, Martin etc drops off over the next couple of games.

We did it against St Kilda, and we’ll do it against whatever franchise it is we’re playing this week.

Wish this game would hurry the hell up and come around. Feels like it’s been six months since the cats game.

Reckon for this game dimma should impose a one pot penalty for any tiger that disposes the footy on his preferred side. Should keep it interesting
