My thoughts:
Firstly, far too many players in the squads. Won't mention names and say who doesn't deserve a guernsey, but there are quite a few there that have no hope of playing in my opinion.
Secondly, do we go for young kids or pick more experienced players. I was speaking to OMNIPOTENT last night on the phone and we were discussing the amount of good youngsters in the competition. Not only are they playing seniors, but they are also having a big impact. Players such as: Climas, Petran, Richmond, Dawson, Hede, Pronk, Saunders, Hamilton, Carroll, Hepburn, Bowen, Dettmann, Collins, Dorman, Wright etc.
For what its worth, the West Team should blitz. The East Team may need to play 20 men on the field.
Heard he was wrapt had a free round of golf thanks to you definately didnt drop any money . when correct weight was declared there was three winners, and only one bloke had to pay up to them and that was yourself.
When they left you were in the dam scavaging for golf balls hoping to set up a stall and sell them three for five dollars to the members on saturday.
If you had of found all your lost balls maybe you wouldnt have needed to get your feet wet.
or too many of them shouting a beer .
hey kingy you are in the know at bomberland how has andy mccabe been going.
Finchy will play his 1st game this week in the 2's. Had to work on his tan as the bomber jumper made him look even whiter than the Sunbury one. Black and red is not a good look if you have pasty white skin.
Heard a rumour that Sipthorp is heading back to Gisborne.

Here's one for all you BigFooty posters out there. Name your club and select which player they would love to snatch from another RDFL side to make yours better. I'll do my area clubs:
Kilmore - Lee James.
Wallan - Ryan Connellan.
Lancefield - Jason Allen.
Romsey - Daniel Ellery.
anyone else notice that Matt Nicholls looks a hell of a lot like Travis from Big Brother!!!!
Yes i hinted something at that the other day.

Mate, there is no use complaining about this bloke, we have all played local footy for the last 20 years with this moron, juniors and seniors and he actually feeds off the negative feedback and loves the fact he can turn a game in seconds (proves it time and time again) I'm not one to complain about umps especially with such a shortage off them but just teach yours boys to ignore him (fu#king hard i know) and thank god that he's twin brother no longer umpires.given that the local umpire advocate has posted on here since my post and hasn't mentioned my post does that mean that this simmo is a protected species, if so I will consider pulling my son out of this league if they continue to protect this idiot.

sounding more and more like our resident journo by the second
i know its premature (im sure matt knows all about that!!), but lets say for argument sake like the afl at the moment what happens if we start getting alot of injuries, dose the squad get topped up again?
plus i may have not read it but where is the game being played?
and the teams where are they training??
first time poster here, I just want to comment on the standard of umpiring especially in the under 16 age group. we have had an umpire call simmo a couple of times more recently a few weeks ago, he completly lost control of the game and the free kick count was 28-8 in what should have been a great game with the 2 top teams playing it was turned into a frustrating rabble thanks to the whistle happy simmo.
How can this guy be allowed to umpire and I know that there are a shortage of umpires but this guy is a shocker and shouldn't be allowed on the field with a whistle
The whisper is the game will be played at Riddell. I think we should get by with the squads we have. The AFL is not having problem with squad numbers, they are just losing their marquee players.
