Saw woodend boys talking to a star in edfl the other night. Great get if they can. Heard Mac meeting with half a doz at moment to. Not sure who though. Will do some digging. Hard to get info out of cattery.

I saw a gathering of lads at Clancy Reserve the other night on me way to the tote, Oct 28 is the official kick off I believe. Also the Blues might have jagged a handy two's coach with some fair experience in football

Couple Friday afternooners through
Brenton Southerland leaving Sunbury after a year at the Lions to head back to the Roos. Plenty of names and signings. Helmers making a statement. Fraser Gherig is a name that has been thrown around within circles, not sure if its Lions or Roos though. Keep you posted
Matthew Stacey not playing for the Hawks in 2010, due to other commitments
Kilmore yes back on the track, not complusory at this stage for another week I am led to believe
Morcroft will be a Redback in 2010, along with Greene. 100% done. So we can stop talking about it.
Diggers sneakly signing some names from the WRFL and BFL, along with the odd Rupo signing here and there.
Lancefield resigning Fitzgerald again. Holes to fill would couple retirements I believe, maybe more Kyneton lads? Any left?
Macedon to spend massive amounts of coin, Meldrum was a done deal before his knee, just wait and see.
Broadford couple of oldies but goodies returning....

I Also heard gehrig is linked with the kangaroos. But not sure if there is truth too it. BUT i know for sure that ruckman lee fishton has signed with them.

Must of taken you a while to make up most of those rumours chuck.
Stacey still strong chance to play for hawks and they may get cunik back from kyneton to. After some digging today was told that macedon are trying to get players with very little cash to offer but have kept last years list together. Bit different to whats been said on here but my source is pretty close to action. Not sure if meldrum is actaully on board yet?
Night games at Clark oval a great idea. would love to see some rivalry games there.

Ryan Eastman from Strathfieldsaye may be off to Broadford
I would be pretty sure that he is considering that he has been interviewed in local press and has stated that he has taken on an Assistants role. Also said that there is bugger all chance of him playing next season
I see Lee Spry is going around again at Rockbank which gives the club some stability, i thought they were very competitive this year, i was wondering if they were out recruiting, as you wouldnt want them to slip back to a standard of a couple of years ago, as the comp is improving rapidly.
Shannon struggled in the GF due to an ankle injury, i have seen him play and he holds his own, i think he was runner up to Gary in Romsey's B& F so he had a decent year. The GF was a great game of footy and definately not up to the standard of the Northern league's first division, but i would rather watch our GF, than a cashed up Heidelberg win another flag! Take out the sugar daddy and the club would be as good as the one across the road!( West ) Our league is very even and getting stronger, the Northern league has been hijacked by a club who wants to go to another comp. We are very happy in the RDFL. PS, it's very easy to pot someone when they cant defend themselves, for what it's worth i rate Shannon and our league is better off for having him, and i'm not from Romsey.

Unlike some on here i only deal in facts. Yes meldrum is back but not in official role. he reckons he will play enough games to qualify if knee responds ok. talk of blades riddel mates being offerd doe is crap, take it as gospel, macedon dont work like that. Dont question me, believe me, i know people at a this club and others very well.
Hey mate i just wrote what I read and I read a quote from Al Meldrum which said that he was taking on an assistants role because he was unsure whether he was gunna be able to get on the park. I hope he does but he said he was not sure.

been spoken to by a lot of clubs, maybe the club based at the foot of the hills should chase a bit harder and they may just land him there next year!
and what of your amazing football efforts??, its common knowledge he would take at least 2 seasons to come up and why bag an up and coming local trying his best? in fact was regularly in the bests when he did play senior vfl although mainly got picked in the twos for coburg. its negative twats like u who bring down the tone on this site. so comn let us know how good u are or were im dying to hear about it
