have it on good authority that it`s a done deal,Rod Ward already has a football operations manager appointed it will all be officially announced Friday

Completely incorrect.

No decision has been made, the clubs have until COB today to provide their input at which time club input will be discussed..

Until that time, we should talk about the important things, like, how are things up in Kilmore Doon, managed to hold on to the list?? Recruiting seems to be going pretty well, think we will see some improvement in consistency from the Blues in 2012!!

Phew, not of out the equation then which is promising.

Going slowly over here mate, have added a couple, Broomfield has retired, and a few young blokes have decided to have a look elsewhere. As long as the boys continue to get along in numbers and work with the effort and attitudes that senior footy demands then who knows what can come of it.

Obvioulsy the top 5 from 2011 look to be similar again, so I guess it will come down to a race for 6th position and who outside the 6 can improve enough to put some pressure on Wallan who from all reports are going well down at Greenhill. Plenty of clearances starting to roll in (and out), Im hearing Broadford will add a good 8-9 to last years list so we're all gunna have to be on our toes every week as the comp looks like evening right up which is great for everyone involved.

Absolutely, there has been quite a few good signs for most teams so far, plenty of clearances in and some big names.. Things are looking up for the clubs and the competition... :thumbsu:

Everyone get that rain tonight? It Pi$$ed down in Kilmore for our whole session.

Local paper suggets over 30 applicants got the GM's job and 20 for operations job. Some past AFL players as well can they choose the right option this time or will they go with the BFL. They have asked for opinions on what clubs would like and not to vote on this matter as it will be made by a board decision surely a decisiobn like this to align with another league should be voted by the clubs or done at the AGM for the league ??

The entire process is being conducted in consultation with the clubs and the points of discussion provided by the clubs will be taken into account in the decision making process, at the end of the day though, the board is elected to make these decisions and will do so.

There is a confusion regarding the entire proposal, the proposal is for the tendering of Administrative services, not an alignment or a takeover. Look at it as the BFNL being another applicant for the position.

Due process will be followed and the right outcome for the future direction of the league and the best interests of the league will be achieved.

For any queries or questions that you as a member of your club might have, direct them through your club so that the correct process can be followed and all relevant data collected and distributed. It is the clearest and most productive path that can be followed.

The intention of the board is as it has always been, a final decision that is in the best interests of the competition as a whole and the future stability of the Riddell District FL.

I dont think it really matters at the end of the day "WHO" does the admin' work of the League. The most imperative consideration is that it be done
correctly, & more importantly, that it is seen to be done in that fashion by the wider RDFL footy community.
And as for "WHO" makes this decision/appointment, I'd say its exactly what the RDFL board (who were put there in the first place by our clubs)
are there to adjudicate on after all. And lets not forget, & at the risk of stating the bleedingly obvious, "THEY" the Board will carry the
responsibility for this move how ever it should turn out in the fullness of time. So.... we will all know "WHO'S" head to kick if this all turns pear
shaped down the track !!! ................. Or...... it will turn out to be a stroke of genius instigated by our pro-active forward thinking group of "Steven Bradbury's" !!! :thumbsu: :footy:

With the 2012 BetStar Champions Cup fast approaching, the crew at Local Footy Scores was hoping to get a bit of an insight on some players to watch, and the player that you think might be 'the difference' for the Romsey Football Club.

We are looking forward to what should be a cracker series, with some big names running around for the competing clubs.

To stay in touch with, and contribute to all things local, like our 'Local Footy Scores' page on Facebook.

Does anybody know if the programmed coaches meeting for Monday 5th March is still happening and if so where?

Key dates have not been altered on the RDFL website and no correspondence from the office to the club.

Wouldnt it be nice if the EDFL took a leaf out of the RDFL and decided that maybe they might ask their clubs what they would like.

Defribulators, Iphone apps, expanded competition, undisclosed money lending, presidents midnight phone calls ,limited correspondence to clubs, fines, fines, fines, presidents broken promises,no accountability to anyone, incompetent money management, unfinancial A&B grade clubs, administration control of RDFL, all this and they want to know if any of us want in

No thanks not us

Let that be said, they'd only be looking to bolster their plans of going 3 Div's, and Id be surprised if the furtherest "country" based clubs like Woodend, Kilmore, Lancefield, Broadford would be part of those plans long term

Well in the leader yesterday it was portrayed that dean was not well enough to coach well according to the well known and respected doctors at the kangas!! However I can assure you dean will be doing some kind of coaching this year.. Where that is will be up to dean to decide and I can say he is very healthy and more committed to coaching now than I have ever seen... And still being interview by clubs!! I just can't get my head around the fact he was given a month off and when he went back a week and a half later he couldn't get an answer if he was coach or not. ???? He then resigned not cause he wanted to but because he felt he had no backing from the committee... Whom while making judgment on his illness only one committe member gave him the Time to call dean!!!
