lol, FIFA. I suppose they'll get some more oil money for compensation but it won't wash away the stains.
"Typically public drunkenness in Qatar is punishable with hefty fines or even prison, but the country has promised to let up on these restrictions for the World Cup.

Qatar's head of security operations said police would turn a blind eye to most offences — but not drunken brawls, or property damage. "

At least the English fans are safe now.

I tried very hard to convince my sister to have this as the first dance at her wedding, or at least the song for as they left the church. But, apparently, I got the sense of humour in the family.
I love how James Blunt's You're Beautiful was a bit of a wedding standard for a while there (and possibly still is).
"It's about me stalking somebody else's girlfriend on the underground while I'm high."

Blunt then jokingly followed up by saying: "But people play it at their weddings, which is nice."

It's in the same vein as The Police's Every Breath You Take, which is very stalkery.

I'm sure we could come up with dozens of misinterpreted/misunderstood songs, but two that jump to mind for me are

* Pumped Up Kicks by Foster the People. Such a bouncy little tune that you can't help singing along to, only it's about school shootings

* Imagine by John Lennon. An ode to communism.

It's mostly just paid actors to be there apparently

Speaking of cruisesstalkery songs and Paul Kelly, I’ve always thought Before Too Long was from the point of view of a stalker but I’ve never seen anything about that.

I know him in shows I can see him like Geoffrey Hoytsman but for whatever reason I never put the voices together in multiple animation shows. I'll chalk it up to not having watched Archer for ages and starting from S1 again last night.

Is that his character from Brooklyn 99 that was in like two episodes?

That’s a deep cut.

This probably takes the cake

Also Springsteen's I'm On Fire has some questionable lyrics.

Is anyone else annoyed that even though every other train line ends in Perth, even if the train continues onto another line (Fremantle/Midland and Joondalup/Mandurah), for some reason the new airport line continues through Perth all the way to Claremont? Makes absolutely no sense.

nice map of the perth train system

Vanilla coke is the best Coke, but it's not every day Coke. Coke is every day coke, Vanilla Coke is the treat. It's like saying chocolate is better than a roast dinner - well, yeah, it's great, but you can't have chocolate for dinner.

Will the Twitter employees who Loudly Quit regret their decisions coming up to Christmas?
