I enjoy watching live performances for the emotion/meaning conveyed by the artist. It's not about being pitch perfect, but delivering in the moment. See below. The Boss at his peak, displaying masculine vulnerability as only he can -
Also I've never understood the attraction of tribute bands. Find them just plain weird.
Apart from Tenacious D's Tribute
Don’t mind a one off tribute gig but not bands whose career is literally just covering one other band
I have no qualms with tribute bands, so long as they have a punny name. eg. Bjorn Again.
Get out.It stinks.
Not your average joes but a few of the tribute bands i've heard have been significantly better live than the original performing artists.
As an example the pink floyd experience were hugely better than pink floyd and david gilmour and his setup were like a cheap cover band in comparison.
There are s**t tribute / cover bands and then then are some amazing ones who have musicians who can play at a higher quality (but don't have that elite creativity & cohesiveness to create their own great original music) than the original artists.
A.k.a tribute bands from WishAnyway, as long as they’re not duping people into thinking they’re going to see the actual artist, what’s the issue?

Get out.
Fil sounds hard at it.Back when I was living in Broome the in-laws came up for a visit. My father-in-law, let’s call him Fil, was wearing an AC/DC shirt on the flight up. Would have been in his late 60’s/early 70’s at the time
On the same flight was an AC/DC tribute band who were playing that night, or the night after maybe. As they were all getting off they saw Fil and offered him a free pass
I got the job of going with him which was fine. After all it was free
Went along and found a couple of stools and a table with a good view of the stage. Didn’t have to get up other than to buy drinks. Fil was our guest so I bought the drinks all night
The tribute band was good enough and Fil had a fat time until it was time to leave and he had to get off the stool
Had to assist him out to the car where my wife was waiting to take us home. Then help him into the house
My mother in law who is quite conservative wasn’t particularly impressed with him. Wifey wanted to know how much he’d had and I just said I wasn’t counting just that each time I went to get a drink I’d ask Fil if he wanted one and each time he said yes
The rest of the time they were there if I ever asked Fil if he wanted a drink there was an echo of “You don’t have to say yes”
Kids wanted to know why I broke Grandad
Fun times
Only tribute band I’ve been to

Hahah!People who go to see 'holograms' (which aren't real holograms) of dead musicians (or live but lazy ones if you're an ABBA fan) 'sing' don't deserve the excess income they used to buy the ticket and should just buy a concert DVD and give the rest of the cash to me.
