You normally should never pre-order games but I understand those who put their money down already for the new Zelda.
I haven't pre-ordered anything else in nearly the past decade.

If it's unplayable day one, then more fool me and I'll go back to being a grumpy curmudgeon and not buy anything until it's proved to not be broken (still haven't bought Cyberpunk or No Man's Sky).

Console games are one thing that haven't really gone up in price over the years.
I remember paying between $50 & $70 for most Sega games (unless they were terrible and on sale) at Kmart and Toy Wonderland in Midland when I was a kid

I remember when my dad first got into computers he was reading PCworld or similar’s December 1996 issue

As a six year old I found a review on a joystick - headphones combo hilarious because it wrote a three paragraph review on the merits of they joystick - but the headphones rated four words “they’re pissy little headphones”

Speaking of games, I see there is a new AFL game coming out soon
(I stopped following these ages ago, when it seemed likely that nobody was ever going to make a good one)

Does it look like it will be the usual standard of game ?
I read that the entire game has the same budget as just the menu of the NBA 2k games

It looks better than usual, but still not up to the level of EA games obviously.

Would the original Xbox be worth anything? I found my old one in a box the other day.. Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX 2 ftw!!

Loved Hyper, PC PowerPlay, Atomic etc. The Aussie mags.

I think PC Powerplay is still published but I haven't read it in years.

I do still pick up Retro Gamer when they do their bigger collection/annual issues though.
PC Powerplay and their demo discs. God I had a stupidly large collection of those.
