No, not generally. And I share the rest of the board's respect for your mail on team changes and the like. But the stuff about Dangerfield's character is all insinuation and it is vague. I'm not mounting a come-hell-or-high-water defence of him. I don't know him. He clearly has a reasonably high opinion of himself and I don't imagine everyone loves that. But the implication is that it's much more than that.

Fair enough. As I said, it's my opinion of the man based on interactions with him and that opinion is shared by numerous people close to him.

He's a stark contrast to Walker, Sloane, Jacobs and the other big names, let's just leave it at that.

That's fine. Personally, I thought his behaviour was ambiguous. And still is. But I don't feel any worse off for it. And yes, I do think condescending to 'feel sorry' for those who held out hope is being a know all.

Honestly nothing seems worse to me than holding out false hope. In particular, all those people who strutted around here claiming to have inside information that we would get a signature soon.

I have no problems with him being at both functions and winning both too.

What I think about him after that (assuming he goes), depends upon whether he makes it a condition that Geelong recompense Adelaide adequately in the circumstances (ie more than the AFL's 1st round compo pick (around 14-17) but less than his real market value on the open market).
