Kate I will get over the fact that we were sold a dummy by the Board of the FDFC.But what I will not get over is the underhanded way it was done.I think Rosich and Co came in with the sole purpose of changing our Guernsey.
It was done by stealth.Get a new set of training jumpers so the plebs can get used to seeing players in them,Then, without warning say that regardless of whether you like it or not,this is going to be our new playing strip.
A disaster of mismanagement by Rosich ,Harris and Co.
Unlike some here,and on Dockerland,I will not hand in my ticket,I love my football team too much for that.But I think it is going to take me a long time to get used to out new attire.
It will also take me a long time to think of Rosich,Harris and Co as FREMANTLE people.They are deceitful money grabbing corporates with no heart for the Fremantle Dockers.

Kate I voted for you last time, however the whole handling of the identity of our club has been treated as little more than a marketing campaign and personally unless I get some clarity - I'll be going the protest vote option.

A lot of whinging seems to be going on.
We are obviously a club going in the right direction. A reasonably successful season, a solid profit, excellent renegotiations with Pav and Mundy (players with a 'go home' factor), a new league coach from our ranks and the ability to coax Jason MacCartney into our coaching panal.

Rebranding the club is necessary. It is like a fresh coat of paint. It doesn't get rid of our history but it allows us to improve some of the aspects of our club that have been seen as sub par. Our song is a poor one. It is hard to sing and not catchy. I could not imagine it being a draw card to potential new members.

Hopefully now that our jumper has changed we may be able to sing about "mighty big Vs"

Kate hopefully you can continue pushing us forward both on and off the field.

I filled in the survey as I do every year and I had my suspicions that this year's would have only one outcome.

The questions were geared to obtain a preconceived result.

I am willing to stand corrected but the only way to find out is to re release the survey.

If you see player management as one of the most important issues that creates competitiveness and recovery every week how would you get the Board to address use of charter flights.

The training jumper survey that was posed to the members - I think that was on the club website only? - seems to be used by the club now to show that it was a popular design, not the preferred design.

Pretty stealth means to determine something like that.

With the Club election just around the corner, I am here to answer your questions - any you may have on any matter. I will attempt to answer those questions honestly but I obviously can't comment on any confidential matters.

As I have three jobs - a 24/7 job as a mum, my paid job with Westfield, and my volunteer job as a member of the board at Freo - my time on here will be limited but I'll do the best I can.

Since your re-appearance coincides with your current endeavours, I am inclined to believe it is for the sole purpose of furthering your political aspirations, as witnessed by your relative lack of posting for 7 years.

In the interest of not wasting your very limited time, I feel it is worth asking, what answers would you like to give us Kate?

Perhaps if you were sincerely interested in what the members and supporters had to ask or say (and possibly even as passionate about the club as most of us), you would spend more time on these boards than was directly attributable to your personal gain.

The club planned to make changes, a couple of board members could've changed the process or threaten to go public, it didn't happen.

Net result, a new jumper and a pissed off membership.

Kate,I love the new home jumper and personally dont know of anyone who does'nt...i think there may be a lot of squeaky doors on this site who just dont like change.
However the away jumper is not as flash and maybe retaining the purple ancher on the white back ground may have been the way to go.
The logo is soso but is distinctive and simple,two important ingrediences for a brand logo.
The club song isnt the best in the league,but isnt the worst either...making 3 major changes in 1 year could be dangerous
