Just wondering if the boards were going off like this.... For all the people here who don't know who won it was Shane Woewodin.

I find it hard for anyone to honestly say that Woewodin wasn't the biggest / worst brownlow medal winner (although I'm sure collingwood/geelong people who are angry may)

Although I honestly want to know if it was this bad...

The Brownlow is always a lottery. Get the top 5 favourites and draw them out of a hat and there's your winner.

Judd is a champion in every manner, i don't think anyone who knows two bob about football can deny that he is worthy of two charlies regardless of which season.

I think Woey was paying about $14 to win it on Brownlow night back in 2000... He was definitely right up there, the best player from the 2nd best team of the year... His output post Brownlow was disappointing however...

Judd was paying 20's I believe... So according to the bookies Judd this year is a greater upset than Woewodin back in 2000...

But the bookie's odds are a reflection of where people's money is going...if we all decide to back Melbourne for next year's flag, it doesn't mean they deserve to win it.

Regardless of his place in history and his form after that year, Woewodin was brilliant that year and deserved his medal. What happened after that is irrelevant. We can't award medals based on what we think their eventual standing in the game will be. It comes down to votes for games played in a single year.

He had a season that was worthy of a brownlow medal, but not a career
