Whose to say that we (WCE) haven’t done that. After all, we spent a lot of time preseason working on our tackling
But it will be interesting to see what happens next time they suffer a big loss. Does he go straight to the same tactic. A bit concerning that after just his fourth game in charge he has to turn to such a stunt. Normally there is a new coach honeymoon period and we don’t see such wild swings from week to week. Time will tell I guess.

When they lost, he had a poor or developing list.

Its not concerning at all. Infact its a perfect time to do it being early in his tenure he has now set the standard.
Media have gone very early on Freo. Talk of top 4 certainties and prelims. They’ve beaten 16th, 15th, 14th and 13th. Surely you wait until they play someone decent before you start engraving the cup??

How would we know now if we do? We never play them unless forced.
Our best wins the last couple of years
Saints game in the hub
Tigers game last year
Carlton game last year
Pies game this year
What do they all have in common?
From memory we also almost pulled off a win against the dogs a week before the saints game that year
We will probably have 2 very down years where we get good picks and get some genuine A grade youngsters onto the list.
You just have to hope we don't trade out the early picks for some fools gold.
But we seriously need a Judd/Nata type talent in the draft(s) backed up by your kerr/shuey type selection at pick 18-20.
Port pick will be gold.
You always get sliders so a pick 1-4 and 2 early 2nd rounders essentially gets you 3 first round calibre type players, if you know what I mean

Gotta love the AFL. Getting all high and mighty when a “dangerous” tackle or bump is laid but then two of their so called “stars” engage in unsportsmanlike, non footballing, aggression and staging, that are both bad looks for the game, there’s absolute crickets.
An intentional boot or stamp in soccer earns you a red card and multiple game ban. Should be an automatic 2-3 weeker for both. You’d see it disappear out of the game almost instantly
