Gotta love the AFL. Getting all high and mighty when a “dangerous” tackle or bump is laid but then two of their so called “stars” engage in unsportsmanlike, non footballing, aggression and staging, that are both bad looks for the game, there’s absolute crickets.

An intentional boot or stamp in soccer earns you a red card and multiple game ban. Should be an automatic 2-3 weeker for both. You’d see it disappear out of the game almost instantly

Yep.

Tex is a flog of the highest order, but hard not to agree with his interview when he suggested if it were him or Toby Greene it would have been a multi-week suspension.

Nic had to calculate the weight differential, I'm not going to ask what cotchin may or may not have needed to calculate during a deliberate kick to/near the groin.

Hawkins should have been a fine also, but in reality avoiding that wet lettuce punishment doesn't change public opinion that he is a stager.

Melbourne and Brisbane are locks you would think. That leaves two spots to fill.
Geelong, Sydney, Western Bulldogs, St Kilda, Fremantle, Richmond. They are probably the ones who could do it. I get the feeling there may be a “weak” team getting into fourth this year…

Tigers are as cooked as us. I don't trust the Dogs. Good chance they don't make finals, or if they do, they just slip in. Carlton a good chance for top 4, Saints a smoky, maybe the Cats (but they just seem a bit off this year).

GWS could get themselves together. They started poorly last year also. But they need a new coach.

I know the Tigers are cooked, but they have the Melbourne (Home state) factor. They’ve already had one interstate trip, have another next week against us and then only a couple more for the year. They could pull themselves together for one last hurrah.

I think the Bulldogs will move up and comfortably make finals. Have doubts on them being a major threat however.

As for us… we’ll we’ve had our time. Sucks we haven’t been able to challenge for one last go… but we will regroup. At least we got a flag

Watching AFL 360 and Jack Reiwoldt is a dead set pisser, never realised how funny he is and unfortunately his kind of personality is going to be stamped out of the game with the ridiculous over officiating and umpiring coddling being shoved down the players and fans throats.

Gerard Whately can go play in traffic however, what a pissweak mouth piece for the AFL he has become.

I reckon that's one of the reasons why WCE aren't prepared to go the build yet. Outside of Melbourne and to a lesser extent Brisbane, no other team looks like winning the premiership. If something happens to those 2 teams like injury or covid then anyone is a chance.

Reiwoldt seems like an OK guy off field but he seems like a real dick on field. He used to spit the dummy when young and as he got older he just became dirty. Is always playing for frees and bitching at the umps when they don't fall for it.

Interesting theory and it at least makes some sort of logic as to why we would go to the well again when it was pretty clear we were done at the end of 2021.

Unfortunately we were hit by pre-season injuries more than any other team. Then hit by Covid more than any other team. It will swing to some other club(s) later in the season but we're going to be too far back to try and take advantage.
